Silvia's POV Ashley was gone. I stared at Brian, his hand pressing against his bloodied lips. My heart pounded like a drum in my chest. Yeah, I heard everything. Every word they said. I know Brian kissed her. Forced himself on her. And I can't help wondering—if I hadn't made myself out to be someone on the brink of death, would he even be standing here right now? Would he have agreed to this sham of a marriage, even if it's just for six months?

“That’s amazing. You’ve always been ambitious.” Mark laughed. “And you? How did you end up in LA?” Ashley hesitated, took a breath. “I came back to Korea a few months ago to get married. Just arrived here yesterday. Now living here.” Mark’s face froze briefly. His eyes caught something unspoken. “Married?” he asked softly. “Yes,” Ashley nodded slowly. “My husband works here.” Mark leaned back, exhaling deeply. “If I hadn’t left you back then... maybe things would be different.”

Cynthia chuckled a bit and smiled. "We aren't mated, Ashley. We dated, but I left him recently," she said with a sad face, and Ashley frowned at her, wondering what might have happened to make Cynthia leave such a good relationship. "Why? You would have been Luna of the River Pack," She said to Cynthia, and Cynthia looked at her to study her.

After eating and doing the dishes, Ashley was walking towards the living room when she heard the doorbell. “Coming” She yelled heading to the door. “Girl” Andrea and Shelly squealed entering inside the house. “Girl, you look pale, are you okay?” Shelly asked, looking concerned while Ashley stared from Shelly to Andrea. “You need to know something,” She said to Shelly gesturing both of them to the three-seater sofa. “Actually my and Alan's marriage is a contact one not based on love” She paused waiting for Shelly's reaction. “And I may have fallen in love with him” She finalized.
