Blood stained the clearing, a crimson proof of the fight for survival. Cold, black blood sprayed out, but I was already finished firing my gun which is in my left hand, to another monster before the first corpse fell. I barely registered my opponent-male, shirtless, whiter than snow and drenched in blood-before counterattacking. I nocked my gun on his head then pull the trigger. The monster fell to the ground with a wet smack. "In coming!" I yelled, but even though I screamed at the top of my lungs, I knew the others hadn't heard.

POV: Ash Ryder "Get out of my way, you mindless filth, or I’ll paint this ice with whatever rot you have for blood!" Ash’s voice was no longer the steady, commanding baritone of the Silverfang Alpha. It was a jagged, raw snarl that vibrated with a terrifying lack of restraint. He lunged forward, his silver dagger flashing in a lethal arc as it sank into the neck of a Shadow-beast. The creature, a twisted mass of smoke and elongated bone, didn't even have time to hiss before Ash ripped the blade sideways, decapitating it with a spray of violet ichor that sizzled against the frozen ground.

Blood coated my hands, hot and sticky. It whimpered. Then fell still. Another turned toward me. My arms ached. My side screamed. But I raised my dagger anyway. I was going to die here. I knew it. Then I heard it… A howl. Low. Commanding. Not rogue. Pack. In the distance. Backup. The rogue paused. So did the others. Asher surged upward with a roar, covered in blood, and slashed clean through the last wolf standing over him. Its body fell in two.

There could be no hesitation. Ash moved with lethal grace, cutting through lines with a blade in one hand and a sidearm in the other. Each movement was fluid, precise, deadly. He found Henry at the center of a small skirmish, their eyes locking in a brief, icy moment of recognition. Without hesitation, Ash’s blade arced, striking with unflinching force, severing Henry’s head cleanly. The sound was horrendous, but necessary. The line of defense crumbled immediately after, morale shattered by the sudden brutality.

I fall into my stance—falling low, on all fours as I tighten the muscles in my thighs. Come on Ash. Just a little more. “I forfeit!” He roars weakly in my mind. The hand comes down upon him and I launch myself, shattering my seat behind me. With blinding speed, I reach them in the center—pushing Ash out of the path of the slash that would have killed him. But not fast enough to avoid the slash myself. At least not entirely. His claws cut through my clothes and into my skin in a straight line, reaching my spine and splitting the bone in two.

“There you are, my little slave.” Ashley’s stomach twisted at the sound of his voice, but she stood her ground. “It’s over, Adonis.” He chuckled darkly, shaking his head. “Oh, Ashley. It’s far from over.” And then, with a snap of his fingers, the gunfire erupted. --- The battle was swift and brutal. Adonis’s men swarmed the cabin, but Ashley, Demon, and their allies fought back with everything they had. The air was filled with the deafening sounds of gunfire and shouts, and the smell of smoke and blood filled Ashley’s lungs.

Chapter 95: Asher As the last breath shuddered out of Willow, her shadows screamed— The sound was like a thousand voices howling in agony. They immediately started dropping off her body, disintegrating into ash with a wave that shook the entire place. And like a detonated sequence, the rest of her army also started falling. One by one they collapsed into smoke, just like the ones on her. Truly she was their control because within minutes, the battlefield was filled with dark smoke as all the shadows fell.

It’s birthing faster. I slash another across the face, the shard punching through an empty eye socket with a wet, sucking pop. It screams, a raw, desperate sound. I rip the shard free and ram it into its gut—twist—feel the rotted organs give way under the blade. I shove the corpse aside, boots sliding in the gore, and grab the fallen creature’s broken spear. It’s jagged. Splintered. Perfect. Behind me, the prisoner howls, driving his own shard into the chest of a witch-stitched thing that bleeds thick black pus instead of blood.
