I leave my hair as it is: dark, tousled, and messy, but it makes me look like my mom, something I don’t mind.
Stepping outside, the morning air pins my skin with a frosty slap, waking me fully. Ashton is already waiting for me by the garage, leaning against his car and fiddling with his phone. He glances up as I approach, and for a moment, his gaze lingers on my face before he quickly looks away.
“Ready?” He asks, stuffing his phone back into his pocket.
“As ready as I will ever be,” I reply, unsure of what to expect from this training session. Will I get bullied by the younger werewolves for not being able to shape-shift, or will I actually make some new friends?
