The elites stood in formation inside Cliffside Gate, fully armed, yet not a single sound could be heard. Cormac whispered, "Andrew's not here yet?" Asher was about to answer when they heard footsteps approaching. Andrew came through with Shiloh and Nyx at his sides, all three of them geared up and ready. Cormac smiled. "Are we good to move? Is Ms. Greene joining you too?" Andrew nodded. "Shiloh wanted in. Honestly, having her with us is a major advantage." Cormac said nothing, but he knew well that Shiloh could help. After all, a martial artist at the peak of martial god level was an asset that could shift the outcome of almost anything.

Craig said proudly. Lana spoke without looking up. “Craig, if you don’t have work to do, I can find something for you. We love you both together, just not when the sexual tension is still so much.” Craig immediately sat up straighter. “I’m suddenly very busy, thank you very much.” Victoria smirked. “Amazing recovery.” The moment the clock struck 4 o'clock, Craig was the first one to stand up, cracking all the bones in his body. “Finally! I will see you witches tomorrow, hopefully.” He said, stuffing his laptop in his bag and strutting off as he whistled ‘Oh happy day' and occasionally threw a step or two.

Silver energy burst through the forest destroying the restraints completely while power slammed through the trees like a shockwave. The hunters stumbled backward immediately. Too slow. I grabbed the nearest one first and drove my fist directly through his chest. Blood sprayed across the forest floor. The hunter stared down at the hole through his body almost calmly. Still smiling. Goddess these people were insane. “You’re already too late,” he whispered weakly. Then his body started turning to ash. No. Absolutely not. I grabbed him harder immediately. “Who are you?” Ash spread faster. “The storm king rises again…”

The fear and grief I had been holding in broke loose the moment I saw her. "Cassia!" My voice came out hoarse as I shouted with everything I had: "Save my father! Hurry, save my father!"

Gods. A pair of gryphons soar overhead, their bondeds laughing as they dive through the clouds. Direwolves and their humans moving in perfect sychronizon. One particulary unimpressed frost lynx lounges across a tree branch, glaring down at everyone beneath it like they are personally offending its existence. Further in the distance, Ironclad dragons train with their bondeds, bronze scales glimmering beneath the rising sun. Terrifying, but majestic. For a few silent moments, I simply watch. Because despite all else, I still love them. I always have, even though Aetherion Academy was not supposed to be my future.

Sophia and Isak nodded in agreement. “You're tied to the new gods... the Olympians... We're talking about magic older than the Moiras!” Sophia added, then I saw her close her eyes and take a deep breath. “Let's go! I want to get out of here! Take a shower and get rid of this goo.” “Better not throw it anywhere... It could easily contaminate the water system... We don't want any mutations out there!” Khalid said and then looked at Perseus. “Use your aura and the power of Helios to burn this goo, you have the ability!”

I looked at him like he was stupid “The same way I got the burns on my arms and legs” He looked at me puzzled then suddenly it all clicked “Can you tell me his full name? I have been trying to find out about him, but he is a ghost, and I am getting nowhere”. “His full name is Phillip Lord. He told me he is a plumber, but I know that is a lie. I also know that you know what he really does. I am fine if you are unable to give me that information. I also know that he wants me dead as he has met a new girl that he wants to destroy. He will come back for me, I do not want any of you getting hurt in the process. I am happy to give you what you need and then return to my life”.

I made my way through the dark corridors of the dungeon, my heart burning with a desire for revenge. I had been betrayed by Luciana, the very person I thought was my friend and ally. Craig says, a relaxed smile spreading across his face. "You sick bastards! You knew he cared for me, so you wanted to kill his spirit, before killing the man." I say, nearly spitting at them. My outburst only causes Craig and Drago to smile at me. Impressed that I caught on so fast to their maniacal plan. "We thought our plan couldn't have gone any better. We would take out the Shadow Assassin, and the heir of the Scorpions in one swoop." Drago explains.
