"we are more than you, you know." With a feral growl, Luna Launched at Arachne, her claws extended. Arachne met her attack with a swipe of her own, their claws clashing with a burst of dark and light energy. Asher joined the fray, attacking from the side, his jaws snapping at Arachne's arm.

I felt the horrifying warmth of my own blood begin to trickle down my arm. Gritting my teeth against a wave of nausea, I launched a blast of energy, but the Scourge sidestepped it with fluid ease. I tried again, only for it to dodge with the same eerie grace. It was toying with me. Desperate, I changed tactics. I abandoned singular blasts and imagined my mana crackling and alive, superheating it into raw, untamed lightning. The chaotic energy erupted from me in a brilliant web, striking at the Scourge from all sides. It recoiled with a piercing, silent shriek that I felt in my bones.

“Go! Now!” She skidded to a stop. “I’m not leaving you” He roared, his shift instant. Fur exploded across his skin as he fell to all fours, claws tearing into the earth. His wolf form was massive, silver and fierce. Without hesitation, he charged the Ash Wolf. Lyra watched in horror as the two collided. The sound of bones cracking echoed through the forest. Kael’s claws slashed through smoke in but it wasn’t enough. The Ash Wolf’s shadowy form absorbed the hit, retaliating with a shriek that made Lyra’s ears ring. It bit into Kael’s shoulder, and he howled.

On the right flank, chaos erupted. A massive black wolf, Ashren, burst from the bushes. He hit the Hounds with the force of a freight train. He didn't bother shifting fully; he was a blur of fur and claws. He tore the rifle from one Hound's hands and tossed him aside. "Clear!" I shouted. Drax stood up from behind the log. He looked pale, sweating profusely, but he managed a grin. "Took you long enough," Drax grunted. "I was about to get bored."

Darren’s voice shouted, but it was drowned by the chaos. The rogue lunged again, claws slashing. I blocked with my staff, but the force sent me sprawling, pain exploding in my ribs. I coughed, blood filling my mouth. My body screamed for me to stay down. But I pushed up, vision spinning, staff trembling in my hands. “Come on,” I growled hoarsely. “I’m not done.” The rogue snarled, preparing to strike again— And then Damien’s massive Ash wolf form crashed into it, tearing it apart with brutal efficiency. Blood sprayed, the rogue falling lifeless at his feet.

I feel Tobias’ strong grip on my shoulder, but I push him away and let my aura fill the air, making him drop in submission. “Vaffanculo! I feel my body relax slightly, and I let go of Darius’ shirt- shoving him back a couple feet.

Mae’s power pulsed, uncontrolled, filling every corner of the ship with its glow. But the reprieve was short. The champion’s void-heart pulsed once, and the horde surged forward again, faster, hungrier, their claws slamming against the ramp with deafening force. “Hold the line!” Ashar roared, his blade igniting brighter, flames spreading across the deck as he carved through three at once.

Smoke slithered between his teeth as he whispered in a language not meant for the living. Scourge. I didn’t waste time. I launched. The first one barely moved before I was on him claws to his throat, weight collapsing him to the asphalt. My claws sank through his hood and flesh with ease. Blood jetted hot across my chest. Black. Not red. Reeking of ash and rot. I didn’t care. I twisted my hand and tore. Something screamed. Not just him something inside me reacted, like I’d just ripped into a soul and not a man.

The Death Wolf lunged. Claws carved through the air, seeking Heratte’s flesh. His attack struck true, raking down her arm—only for the black blood that spilled to stitch itself back together. Heratte smirked. She saw the flicker of disbelief in his glowing eyes. He attacked again. They clashed, an unstoppable force against an immovable object, drawing each other’s blood like predators locked in an eternal war. Their bodies crashed against trees, uprooting them with the sheer force of their battle, leveling the land beneath them.
