Ash turned to his mate—to the woman with the amber eyes and the raven hair and the absolute fury radiating off her in waves—and he felt the words forming in his consciousness before he could stop them.

She was concerned. "Get her out of here." Ash ordered Joshua in an unusual voice, which struck a note deep within Miranda's body. Then turning his vision away completely, Asher released a booming growl and sent his frame into the air. His limbs were suddenly tripled in size, his skin bleeding into long, dark fur. Ash landed on all fours, as he flew over Damien's head, who ducked away from the pouncing wolf at the last second. Ash turned towards the Mayor, and snapped his snout in a menacing manner.
