Getting up from her bed, Ashley felt the need to lock her door as she did exactly that, before dialing a familiar number before pressing the call number as it immediately began to ring causing her heart to speed up. "Hello?" The person on the other line called out as Ashley forcefully swallowed, "Jake, it's me, Ashley," she said as Jake's breath hitched in shock, "Ashley, oh hey," he greeted before clearing his throat, "Hey, I'm sorry for bothering you, I heard what happened, and I just wanted to check up on you," she said as Jake sighed, "I'm fine, just worried about the past repeating itself," he said as a shaky breath escaped from Ashley's lips.
