She said: "In the stone by the east gate. Where nothing grows." He was very still for a moment. Then he said: "What kind." She said: "White. Small. Winter-blooming." He said: "Those do not grow at this altitude." She said: "I know." They looked at each other. He said: "Seraphel." She said: "Possibly." He said: "Or—" She said: "Yes." They held each other's gaze. She said: "I am not going to read too much into a flower."

I knew my mom would be pissed that I was even considering marrying this man, but the thought of him with someone else made a ball of furious rage form in my chest. I swallow as we stop in front of a high entry way covered by hanging flowers. "Have fun, Lady Delilah." I smile at Chepi and walk through the flowers. Here we go. The greenhouse was probably twenty feet by twenty feet, with rounded edges rather than squared like the rest of the rooms. The ceiling was replaced with a crisscrossing wood pattern, no glass though, just vines and flowers and moss climbing over the wood. I wondered if it'd form a natural roof one day. The sides of the room have rows of seedlings just barely sprouting, f

Lydia responded, and I waved my hand dismissively. “I know, I mean what are they doing here? And with those flowers?” I asked. Lydia shook her head. “Alpha Edward must have asked them to bring it in. Don’t you like the flowers?” She asked. “Of course, I do. Chocolate cosmos, they’re called,” I explained, “It’s a rare type of flower that smells exactly like chocolate. You would even want to eat them,” I added, laughing, then I advanced towards the florists, who were arranging and watering the flowers.

I looked at Coral, " was that......a compliment?" She laughed, " From Darrell.....oh yes. Mark the day– you've just been knighted." Coral poured herself another cup of tea, then glanced at the list again before setting it aside. "What about flowers?" She asked. "Have you thought about what you'll use to decorate?" "Flowers? It's winter so...." She smiled. "There a few that bloom if you know where to look. Hellebores are hardy and elegant–white, plum and deep rose. Snowdrops are delicate but beautiful. And there's winter jasmine– bright little yellow things that look like hope."

Fresh, petals gleaming with dew, an impossible bright spot in this place of decay. The sight hit Ash like a blow. He stepped back, colour draining. “No,” he whispered, voice breaking. “What is it?” Elara asked softly from the doorway. “It was our mother’s favourite flower,” Kael said from behind, thick with old pain. “Ash picked them for her. He left one on her grave every week until… until he left.” The Scourge didn’t just pick a place of love. It targeted a memory closely tied to Ash’s deepest love, it was an attack on who he was, no longer a predator and prey, but mind and soul dissected.

Ava tugs my hand hard enough to pull me off balance. "Mommy, look! Purple ones!" Sofia trails beside me, oversized sunglasses hiding whatever expression she's making. Probably judgment. Sofia's resting face is judgment. "Those are asters, baby." I crouch to Ava's level. Her face is flushed from running, blonde curls escaping the ponytail I spent ten minutes perfecting this morning. "They bloom when other flowers are sleeping." "Why?" "Because they're patient. They wait for their turn."

She blushes softly before waving me off. Her answer makes me dissapointed but I don't blame her. It is not I have any right over what she does. I follow her out her perfume wafting into my senses with her every step. She smells so nice just like a mixture of lavender, jasmine and hyacinth. I can't stop staring at her when she is not looking. She turns back when she reaches her car that I almost bump into her. That is how absent minded her body has made me. "Do you need a ride home?" she asks.

Now, he was more like a flowerpot. "This is an Asura Golden Sunflower. Legend has it that it grows in the Asura Path and can devour the blood and essence of experts to live. Because there's constant killing in the Asura Path, this Asura Golden Sunflower grows on the battlefield and devours the bodies of the dead. It can make Asura Path's rules complete..." The Sword Master gave a conclusion.

he asked, his youthful wonder shining through. Adam, finding joy in sharing knowledge, replied, "Well, Noah, Oleander is the name of a flower. It's a pretty white flower, but here's the interesting part: it's known for being both beautiful and toxic. People have to be careful around it because even though it looks nice, it can be harmful." Noah's eyes widened with fascination as he listened intently to Adam's explanation. "Wow, like a secret flower!" he exclaimed. Adam chuckled at Noah's enthusiasm. "Exactly, buddy. You've got a unique name, just like that special flower."
