The Assassin

The Assassin

I thought I could handle this on my own, thought I could bring Zephyr back without assistance because I’m her mate, but it's not enough. “Did you see the person? Did you see the assassin?” Avani snarls. I look at him, knowing this will hurt him nearly as much as it hurts me. “It’s Zephyr, Avani. She’s the assassin.” He falls back on his butt. “What? Are you sure?” he asks. I raise an eyebrow at him. “Why would she do this? Why would she kill these shifters?” Cedric asks. “They got to her,” Avani says as realization dawns on him and he looks at me. He and I have worked together long enough. We understand each other without words.

Assassin's Baby

Assassin's Baby

I challenged her. "Okay fine, I'll tell you, AS stands for Assassination Society and as you can see from the name, they are the ones who are given assignments to assassinate someone and the ones who give them these assignments are their BIG SHOT client who wants their mess to be cleaned or enemy to be killed accidentally or in natural death without them being linked to that death," the woman began to explain everything to us. And I hate challenging her since she understands what AS is and what the aim of this group is.

The Mafia Assassin

The Mafia Assassin

It was just like opening a window into a life she no longer belonged to. “I get it.” Her voice cracked. “This whole thing is insane. And it’s not over yet, is it?” “No,” he said quietly. “It’s not.” She looked up at him, tears brimming in her eyes. “Why me, Nicholas? Why did this happen to me?” He didn't know what to say. He was fascinated by the coincidence of the striking resemblance of Amelia and Allison and the fact she was the one who witnessed the assassination. Something was telling him it was Adrian's handwork though he didn't have any proof.

The Assassin's Mate

The Assassin's Mate

“Normally, I would hand an assignment to whichever handler had the best suited assassin. This particular target calls for all hands-on deck.” I dropped the file onto the table, letting the image of Rory slide out just enough to be seen. The handlers were professional, they quickly replaced their confused glances with blank expressions. It wasn’t unusual that we would have to eliminate one of our own, but Rory was unique. “As some of you may be aware, one of our own was murdered.” I paused to gauge how my words were being received. “Selene was our top assassin.” “You can’t really be insinuating that Rory killed her.” One of the female handlers scoffed. “They were too close for something like

Plus-Sized Assassin

“Or… maybe you recognize me. Maybe you remember the way you felt back in my hotel room… when there weren't any masks between us.” Barbara’s breath caught, but she forced her face to stay still… her split personalities, the professional assassin, fighting the woman who wanted to push him right down onto the marble and ride the fuck out of him till she was writhing in ecstasy, the people gathered around them be damned. “Why do you seem hellbent on making me into someone I’m not?” Barbie could feel a bit of irritation building. She didn’t know if it was towards him or herself. “Instinct,” he said, spinning her into a slow, dizzying circle. “I tend to have a very good one… especially about dange

he replied after a short pause. She blinked slowly and smiled. "Do you think I fear anything?" she asked and he chuckled lightly. This felt so wrong, she felt weird toward this man. (Just because he's acting like this doesn't mean he's not a man who killed thousands of people), she needed to remind herself. She's an assassin, and he's her target. Maybe this is why he's so dangerous. He can play with emotions like how he plays with guns. Killing him grants her freedom.

A Night With Mr Lawson

A Night With Mr Lawson

After more beating and torment on him, the assassin finally confessed the sender name when his life was placed on the line. Charles was shocked when the assassin mentioned no one's name but his precious Jasmine. He wondered what would have provoked her to send an assassin after him. "I was sent by Jasmine Williams to kidnap you and torture you until you tell me everything about Mr A and who he truly is, but not to kill you" the assassin confessed on his dying breath. He could not afford to die yet when he had a lot of family responsibilities to attend to. His wife had just given birth to adorable twins, and couldn't take good care of them if he died. If he had known, the person he was sendin

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

The man who once lived for my breath was now the predator stalking it, his every movement a jagged, lethal promise of my end. We were on the open observation deck of the Spire’s flagship, suspended thousands of feet above the burning Iron Shore. The wind howled around us, tearing at my silk gown and the Sovereign tactical gear that now encased his body. Dante moved with a sickening, mechanical grace, his obsidian arm glowing a sterile, blinding white. He was "Assassin 01," a ghost with no name and no mercy.

His Undercover Mission

His Undercover Mission

What do you think is the difference between a spy from an assassin? Assassins kill for whatever reason while spies obtain information. You’d think spies are more innocent, but let me tell you, there are dirty tricks behind the curtains. We lie, we fabricate stories, and we mislead people, manipulating them in our favor. We have tricks upon our sleeves while they go for the kill. -Hira ⟡ Hira ⟡

The way the story is narrated is amazing, it helps you picture and imagine the environment in the story as well as the characters, not to mention the good last parts of each chapter where you’ll be engaged to read more. It has very good potential and would like others to read this too.

Third POV " Oh , it's because privacy is very important for assassins. They can't disclose their identities to anyone. But believe me, my captains are talented in every field," Brendon replied sarcastically. " Proceed with your introduction quickly," Brendon says and the next one gets up. " I'm an assassin too, I'm called a blood hunter." Another female captain, she was brunette with a slim figure, the trained body of assassins for escaping and running away. " I'm a Sniper, my codename is Blossom."

Frequently Asked Questions

Man, I'll never forget reading 'Red Sparrow' for the first time. The tradecraft detail is just insane—Jason Matthews used his CIA background, and you feel every tense brush pass and dead drop. It's not just action; it’s a psychological chess match where the main character, Dominika, is a Russian ballerina turned spook. The tension isn't in car chases, it’s in a conversation over tea where one wrong word means death. That book ruined a lot of thrillers for me because the espionage felt so authentic, not Hollywood-ized.

I'd put it in a different league than your standard assassin fare. It’s slow, methodical, and sometimes brutally bureaucratic, which is exactly what makes the stakes feel real. The sequels hold up too, but the first one is a masterclass in building dread from the inside out.
