Athena: Goddess Novels & Stories

I ask incredulously. “Enyo? That’s your wolf’s name?” She asks, and I respond with a nod. “The waster of cities… Interesting…” Luna Rachel trails off, a faraway look coming across her face. She then stands abruptly and heads over to the bookshelf in the office. “You know, in Greek mythology, Athena and Enyo were both daughters of Zeus. However, Enyo was a goddess of war and destruction, bringing fear to anyone against her on the battlefield. While Athena was a goddess of both wisdom and war, among other things. Almost like the opposite of what Enyo represented, and she was even feared by Enyo’s lover, Ares…” Luna Rachel trails off again as she flips through a book, looking for something.

I thought she had a striking profile, and as if she sensed my gaze, she spared me a glance, and my heart skipped a beat. She lowered her gaze almost immediately and continued to walk away, her packed ponytail dangling behind her slim swan-like neck. It happened so fast that I thought I was hallucinating. Although I could be mistaken, I believe her eyes were gray - an enthralling sight. The name tag on her chest said Athena, after the Greek goddess of war.

"King Athena of Antarti pack," "By Luna, you make me jealous," Meredith said. "Why?" "A woman King? Impressive! I wished I could pull that feat, honestly. From what I've heard, you fear no one at all. Not many women would actually stand up to a pack and declare herself King," Eucaria rolled her eyes. "Not any woman will. Athena is the only woman. Her name already tells who she is. The Greek goddess of war. You are indeed fearless," If these women were flattering her, it was real work. Her cheeks were red from the good things these women said about her. This was her first time being talked about this way and it made her swell with pride.

Athena went back into the closet, she opened the huge drawer that she kept her shades in, she picked the one that would hide her face well then she picked a flat slip on that matched her outfit. She grabbed her car keys and made her way to the store, she bought everything on the list and she restocked Ava’s food then she drove to her mom’s bakery. Athena dived into her thoughts, the road was free because it was a weekday. She was the CEO of her company and she didn’t go to the company because there were speculations that her husband cheated on her. What if her employee was on the same boat with her? Would she have condoned that behavior?

Iris shook her head vigorously, and both laughed for a second, but again silence swarmed in the room like clouds. "You know, Theia," Iris gently kissed her daughter's temple, "they say it's not wise to name your daughter after the names of the gods. But I did it anyway, you know why?" Athena shook her head, indicating her curiosity. “Because Athena symbolizes love, intellect, and battle strategy,” she sighed deeply. “I always thought you were my little fighter. Maybe I shouldn’t have named you after her, and you wouldn’t have had these many struggles in your life.”

Her lips parted there and she couldn't speak immediately but she immediately followed my big steps again. "You do not. So why don't you start to know me? I'm Athena,” she introduced herself. I only know her code name. Umbrielle. The top assassin of our organization. She used to be our best weapon. She can really do a lot of things so the organization often sends her. Athena, huh? Goddess of wisdom? She's more like a God of War. But she really does look like Athena. She has the face of a Goddess. I just looked at her hand extended to me.

Talaa told her. “Honestly, the first generations of fairy didn’t get to experience that powerful blood. Not until the beautiful lady named Athena, one of the great goddesses, the daughter of Zeus and Hera, turned our body into a weapon against those merciless predators. She badly wanted to protect our wonderful tiny kingdom from big and evil creatures like harpies.” Lane responded. “Isn’t she the coolest? Oh, I mean Queen Aria is cool too, and of course, no one can beat you, my dear Nowo!” She uttered with a high tone. Seems like the female fairy already gained all of her energies back.

Aphrodite explained. "Wait, Athena the goddess of war is my sexy mate's mother?" Asher asked. "Why? Are you scared?" Mykynzye asked. "Hell, no! That is so fucking cool." Asher exclaimed. "Oh, for the love of Olympus! Are you sure he is not on the fucking spectrum?" Kaelayni asked. “Asher please focus! I know there is a small difference between them, but what is it?” Mykayla asked.

Jayden whispers in shock. My head is pounding and I feel dizzy. Tara is Keturah, the moon goddess. The woman who has been helping me all this while is the moon goddess? I always knew she was different, but it never occurred to me. “Keturah, blessed goddess, mother of our kind, it's an honour to have you in our midst”, Kreed says, going one knee. Everybody in the room does the same including, Jayden. I keep sitting, trying my best to see through the tears that have clouded my vision.

"Yes, Goddess Athena," she said. Many believed she was the reincarnation of Goddess Enhui herself. Others claimed she was the second goddess sent to Earth to protect humanity from the spirits of sin. Legend has it that Athena emerged from Lake Gayank—born of its mystical waters—and even as a child, her power was unmatched.
