I never knew that this place existed in real life. Since I was young, I was locked up in an orphanage. And we aren't allowed to go out. I always wished that someone would adopt me. And that is my most regret in life. I thought I already saw rainbows and butterflies when Odin adopted me. But I was mistaken. The day he adopted me is the day my nightmare starts. I was just six years old back then when he brought me to The Ora. This is a secret criminal organization build-up of Hybrids and extraordinary beings with one mission: to destroy the world.

As Cali went out of the office, her phone chimed in her purse. She took it out to find out that Horace was calling her. He was also an orphan and they both lived in the same orphanage. An involuntary smile spread across her lips. And she picked up his call almost immediately. She forgot about all her troubles and pain in her life for a moment. It was always like this when it was him. He was like a loving brother that she never had.

Hester kneeled and hugged each one individually. Her face lit up as she greeted the children. Andro, Jema, Canis, Tero, Laman, Stor and Gusha. Four boys and three girls. They had been sent to Mama Gracine’s orphanage from various places in the kingdom after they had been abandoned, or their parents killed. The children shared their latest toys which were little more than sticks or smooth pebbles and after their excitement waned and they left to play, Mama Gracine spoke.

Lili lisped. “We don’t!” The two answered with puckered brows creeping on their forehead. “The old mistress might have protected you too much, huh.” Loth sneered. “You don’t know what happens to young war orphans in the slums of various cities, do you? Let me tell you. Many of them die due to hunger or plagues. In this era, it’s better to be a slave than an orphan. At least they get to eat. The kingdom didn’t give a shit about the orphans. I consider us lucky to be picked up on the streets. But we’re luckier since it was the old master who picked us up. Your batch struck had it the best with the old mistress ready to wipe your sorry ass.”

He asked me to wait for their ceremony, so I told him that I would see but I wasn't sure. Soon the weekend came and I got my paycheck. Today is my Ori's day and I need to go there. He noticed, for the first time, a group of people were driving towards the Orphanage. He thought they were going to donate something. Emily After sharing a meal with the beta, I commenced my duties as 'Luna' of the pack. My first task was to visit the orphanage located within our settlement and ensure the well-being of the children residing there. It was disheartening to witness the high number of orphans within the facility. Some had lost their parents, who were once members of the Shadow Moon pack, while others were strays that had found their way onto the territory of the Shadow Moon pack, with no trace of their original packs or families.

They all said together and I saw the clock has hit 12 am "Thank you so much." I told them and they all attacked me with a bear hug. There are 10 kids excluding Pakhi in this orphanage for now.
