A metal tray rested in front of her, lined with small bottles of medicine. Valentina adjusted the stolen nurse’s uniform she had slipped into earlier and approached confidently. “I’m here to change Mr. Morales’ medication,” she said, her voice carrying the clipped professionalism of a hospital worker. The nurse frowned, glancing up. “That’s strange. I’ve always been the one to handle his meds. And his family specifically requested no changes.” Valentina’s lips curled into a polite smile, but her fingers itched with impatience. The bottles were right there.

"Move! Move! We’re losing him!" Valentina let out a piercing scream. "Lucas! Don't die! You can't leave me like this!" She tried to follow the stretcher, running in her high heels, tripping and falling against the hallway wall. She looked like a crazy person, her dress torn, her hair a bird’s nest. We followed them down to the surgery floor, but the doors were slammed in our faces. "Wait here," a nurse told us. Her voice was firm but kind. "The doctors are doing everything they can."

Her eyes flicked to me. “So this is her.” She didn’t smile. She just nodded once and said, “Then you need to hear what he did. To me. To all of us.” We sat in a candlelit back room while she poured us wine with steady hands. Her name was Valentina. Years ago, she was Lucas’s lover—and spy. She said she escaped when he tried to use her as a pawn in a scheme gone wrong. “He has a new plan now,” she said. “Something much bigger than revenge.”

She watched them push the woman to the ambulance and when they were about to close the doors, Val said "I will like to accompany her" One of the nurses who was attending to Mrs. Greene frowned and turned, "Why?? Who are you?" Val swallowed "We are neighbors" This caused the next nurse to be tough. "You! Her neighbor? Seriously.." This girl who is dressed in such cheap clothes claimed to be a near neighbor of the famous 80s actress. Wonders shall never cease. The shorter nurse turned to her friend who nodded her head silently suggesting they should be on their way. The short nurse attempted to lock the door when Valeria placed her fingers in between with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Liliana offered Valentina a white pill with a cup of water. “Talk to no one." She stared into Valentina's shifty eyes before walking out with Bianca whose wrist was held in her grasp. Valentina held the pills in her hand, her little head spinning in confusion and pain. Just as she was about to throw the pill into her mouth like she was taught to, the door pushed open, admitting a nurse and a teenage boy who was probably 4-5 years older than she was. “Valentina." The nurse called tearfully, running towards her like she wanted to grab her life back.

I zipped my bag shut, grabbed my instruments, and walked out without a backward glance. After I left, Vincent's expression darkened. Angela sensed the tension and hurried to offer a feigned apology. "Don Corleone, I just wanted a little taste of what it's like to be the Donna. I never expected Valenna to blow things up like this. This is all my fault. Maybe I should go talk to her and clear things up?" Vincent's lips trembled with barely contained rage, but he forced himself to pat Angela's shoulder reassuringly. "It's not your fault," he hissed. "Valenna can't read the room. She's being petty with a man who's still ill. Forget about her. Just enjoy being my Donna. She can't survive without

Lena's POV. “Hello, ma'am,” the doctor waved his left hand, and felt my pulse with his right hand. “How many fingers am I holding up?” “Can I get a name? Can you speak?” He continued, not even giving me a chance to think or respond. He suddenly stopped and pointed a little fluorescent light in my eyes. I squinted and groaned inaudibly from lying stiff for far too long. “Four, My name is Lena, and I think I can… talk,” I replied in a second, gulping as the man behind him moved closer and fixed his gaze on me.

Her shirt was ripped open as they ran the wand over her abdomen, to check the location of the bullet. “Three bags B type blood,” one of the nurses handed it as they attached it to her arm. “What happened to her?” Dr. Todd asked but before he could answer, nurse Janice interrupted him. “Dr. Vittori,” she whispered. Her voice seemed pretty surprised as she pointed to the screen.

I said and the maid burst into tears as she began to apologise but that's not my concern right now. “I am sorry my king. My king! Please have mercy.” She cried out while Gareth dragged her away. I stepped down from the throne and made my way towards the towering window. I looked outside and my eyes caught a familiar figure. I looked closely and I recognised her back instantly. “Where did you say Valeria is?” I asked Gareth when he came back. “She isn't in her room right now. I believe the guards said she was spotted walking with Vance.” Gareth said and I looked closely. My eyes zeroed in on who she was with. It was Vance again.
