The Runaway Groom

The Runaway Groom

… They eventually arrived at Irene's hotel and Isaac delighted with her, while James drove straight to Blue Hill Asylum. Irene had been holding back for a while, but now that James was gone, she immediately asked, "Did Ian Jefferson have a mental breakdown?" She did hear that Ian was staying at an asylum, after all. Isaac simply held her hand and led her inside. "He will soon." Irene was speechless. What was 'soon' supposed to mean? Still, Isaac was not inclined to discuss such an inane issue, so Irene did not ask him—she had a general idea anyway.

My Savior is a Devil

My Savior is a Devil

They were sitting in the corner beside the floor-to-ceiling glass windows that gave them a view of the busy streets outside. Marcus made an exasperated sigh. “You know what? Come… Let’s go to the hospital and have your brain checked.” He stood up from his seat, grasped Athena’s wrist, and tried pulling her up. “Hey, can you please calm down? People are looking at us suspiciously.” She rolled her eyes. “Why do you have to be so dramatic? Sit down, and I will explain everything to you.” Marcus sat back in his seat and drank his iced coffee.

The Wife They Sent Away

The Wife They Sent Away

“Where?” “A psychiatric facility outside Ashbourne,” the assistant replied. “A patient matching her description was admitted recently.” Across the room, Alessia looked up sharply. “Are you certain?” “Not completely,” the assistant admitted. “But the description is very close.” Richard grabbed his coat without another word. “Prepare the car.” The psychiatric facility stood isolated near the outskirts of the city, surrounded by tall gates and dim security lights. Inside, the hallways felt unnaturally quiet. A doctor met them privately and guided them down the corridor.

The Heaviness in the Air

The Heaviness in the Air

I knew exactly why she shuddered Winterhaven with something that he didn't even want to think about, let alone health impossible extended family members in. Winter Haven was where all the criminally insane were held. It was as close to an actual sanatarium or insane asylum that was legally possible. Basically, it was nothing more than a jail for people who were held mentally incompetent to stand trial. He had actually had to go there a few times to deal with cases. It was not something that he ever wanted to do again. The things that he managed to see while he was there still caused a few bad dreams. Winter Haven was basically nothing more than what you would expect from a nightmare.

She, His Enigma

She, His Enigma

Iden stepped into the room, slow and silent. This was the war room. It looked like one. A place where lives were traded, decisions signed in blood. He moved to the center of the chaos, eyes drawn to the wall of screens. Every angle of the massive asylum flickered in shaky grain. Corridors lined with flickering lights. Rooms filled with twitching shadows—patients, doctors, ghosts. The asylum was a tomb disguised as a hospital. Built on illegal records and rotting experiments. A hellhole. A cover for human trafficking, organ harvesting, unapproved trials.

SUPREME ALPHA KING’S HYBRID MATE

SUPREME ALPHA KING’S HYBRID MATE

Hatred. —————— Three days later, With the doctors cautious approval and a signed discharge form, Athena stepped out of the palace infirmary. A small duffel bag slung over her shoulder, bruises still blooming beneath her skin. A place car dropped her off at the edge of the west wall. She limped up the path toward the small cottage she shared with the old maid, Mara. Smoke curled from the chimney. Wildflowers danced along the fence. The familiar scent of pine and fresh herbs wrapped around her like a long lost lullaby.

The Pack's Triquetra

The Pack's Triquetra

He saw both officers retreat slightly, giving him space, recognizing his instincts and the reason for his reaction, and respecting it, although their hands went automatically to rest over their firearms, a training reflex common to the armed forces. Heath relaxed his posture, indicating to them that he did not intend to be aggressive, and saw the tension ease from them, their hands lowering from their side-arms. “Why are you taking Aislen in the middle of the night, and do her parents know about this?” He asked them, keeping his voice polite. “Aislen is being sectioned under Section Four of the Mental Health Act. We apologize for the late hour in which it has been actioned, but there was a f

Fantastic follow up to the first book. I keep going back to the first one to reread the corresponding chapters. It’s so good to see all the perspectives. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Such a clever way to present a story. I’m hooked. I’ll read anything this author puts out at this point.

Alpha VS Omega' Twin VS Twin (A Dark Werewolf Romance)

Alpha VS Omega' Twin VS Twin (A Dark Werewolf Romance)

Thomas The level below the sublevel was here before the hospital was built above it, which is the thing that drew me to this building in the first place when the Order was selecting facility locations six years ago, the specific quality of a space that has been used for containing things for a very long time and which has the infrastructure of containment already present in its walls and its floors and its particular quality of air, which is the air of a sealed place, the air of somewhere that has been closed to the outside for long enough that it has developed its own atmosphere. Bethlem ran a ward here in the eighteenth century, before the move to Lambeth, the overflow cases, the ones who
