It was Julian. Jonathan came over and stayed next to Julian as they went inside. He spoke as they walked. "The bleeding started last night. Some lunatics were seen riding and hitting her when it happened. It was completely unacceptable. I'm willing to bet this is why she miscarried. "Mr. and Mrs. Burke requested that she be sent into a single room, but our asylum doesn't have many resources, to begin with, and we didn't have such luxuries for her. So, we had no choice but to make her stay in a room designated for four people."

"Stop being such a stubborn brat and listen to me. Please give the doctor three months. There's no harm in trying. We can leave right now if you like." Not like it would matter. You’d never even guess that’s what this place was, but for the simple sign by the road. It looks nondescript, like any medical office or clinic. “The Meadows Asylum.” Named after one Christopher Meadow who sadly was killed by one of his own patients while administering electroshock therapy. I’m certain it couldn’t have happened to a nicer fellow. My phone vibrates in my pocket, and I take it out. The message from Declan simply reads, “viking, check.” I show it to Luc who smiles.

Was it destiny or was it something else? ~~ As the night time arose, the whole asylum was in silence. So silent that one could hear the wind blowing. The asylum was a four-storey building, constructed on the outskirts of the city. It was situated on a hill surrounded by innumerable trees. The reason to locate it in such a place was that the cacophony of the patients would create turmoil if situated in the city, so to maintain the peace it was built here. There was a huge fence made up of iron which circled the asylum's periphery. A big board hung at the left of the front fence comprising the asylum's name. The topmost storey of it had an open terrace.
