Selene looked up at him. “You forgot cursed.”
Darius groaned. “Great.”
Theoden stood and walked a few steps away from the fire, his eyes drawn toward the jagged horizon. The wind tugged at his hair. Selene watched the way his jaw tightened.
“Atlas,” she called quietly in her mind.
“I’m here,” came the calm, deep reply.
“Is he okay?”
Atlas didn’t answer immediately. Then, “He’s trying to be. But he feels the pull. So do I. The temple isn’t just a place. It’s… calling.”
