Athena is blind, and adopted by a merciful Alpha who takes her in. But being blind didn't do justice to her as she faced hatred and torment from those around her, especially the Alpha's daughter, Lorrie. Out of spite, Lorrie sets Athena up at her engagement party to have her deflowered by her best friend who has eyes for Athena. Unfortunately, Athena is drugged but the person who lays with her isn't the best friend of Lorrie, but Lorrie's own boyfriend, Ragas. Hell breaks loose as Athena gets accused of seducing her boyfriend and is severely punished. Just when Athena feels like her time has expired, in the crowd, someone takes her hand and pulls her up. To her surprise, it was Alpha Jeremy, the man everyone fears, but the strange thing is, he turns out to be her mate. At that moment, Athena, just like any other person at that moment, feels like the goddess is finally coming to her rescue. After being taken by Jeremy from the hand of her abusers, Athena expected to live in a bed of roses, but that dream was prematurely cut short when she turned out pregnant for Ragas. She yet again faces cruel mistreatment and is banished by Jeremy. In anger, Athena vows to take revenge on all those who hurt her and, as the goddess will have it, she meets a third Alpha named Tristan who sympathizes with her. What's in store for Athena and this third Alpha? Will he be the one to truly liberate her, or will he be just like the others who'll only treat her like trash and abandon her again?

“Athena!”The shrieking voice of my sister, Lorrie, instantly jolted me awake.“How dare you sleep by this time when you ought to make me breakfast!”“I'm… I'm so sorry,” I muttered while trying to find my cane.“Don't tell me sorry! You're always so slow, and it's disgusting!”“I'm truly sorry, Lorrie, I didn't get to sleep early last night that wh-”“Excuses! Get the fuck out of bed and make breakfast!” She yelled and quickly walked out of my room, slamming the door shut behind me with a loud bang.Without a second wait, I quickly stretched my hands towards the edge of my bed and thankfully, I found my cane. Immediately, I grabbed a hold of my cane and managed to get down from the bed.Though I was blind, I could still carry out chores and never worry about my blindness. I simply just use my nostrils to detect things. With the cane in front of me, I led my way into the bathroom, where I washed my face. I wish I could look in the mirror and see what I looked like. Though my eyes were wide open. I still can't see what it looks like. After washing up, I quickly walked out of my room and went straight to the kitchen. Getting to the passage leading to the different factions in the pack house, all I had to do was trace the smell of food, and that is how I found myself there. As soon as I arrived in the kitchen, the maids present all let out a hiss.“She's late again!” One exclaimed.“Come on, Diane, don't be so mean. You know she's the last to sleep, so it's only right that she'll always be late.”“That's none of my concern. Do you think Miss Lorrie will want to hear that? You know how mad she was today when we didn't prepare what she wanted on time.”Though I was in the room, they discussed it as if I were an invisible being.“Why is she wanting an early morning breakfast, though.”“What do you think? Her prince charming is arriving today. You know this is what she does whenever he comes around.”They were talking about Alpha Ragas. I heaved a long, deep sigh. I guess I'll be having enough trouble today. After preparing breakfast as usual, I was pushed to the front to serve the table. Every other maid refused to serve Lorrie, especially when she's with Ragas, and this is because she wanted a perfect table and the slightest of mistakes will make her punish whoever it was.The reason I was being pushed to the forefront was because somehow, I managed to serve her without making any mistakes, even though I was blind.“Alright, it's your turn to serve, Miss Lorrie now. Since you can't carry the tray yourself, I'll do so. Meanwhile, when you get there, you'll do the serving. Understood?”“Yes, understood,” I replied.I sensed the maid walk in front while I followed behind her with my cane in hand.As soon as we arrived at the table, I sensed Lorrie and Ragas at the table. I could always perceive Alpha Ragas scent whenever he was around.“I'm leaving, take care of the rest,” the maid who had carried the tray in, whispered into my ears before walking away. I clenched and unclenched my teeth before going further with serving the table. While I was serving the table, I didn't realize that I was close to Ragas, and this was because all I thought about was how to get away from the table after serving them. Just as I decided to pour wine into the wine glasses, I suddenly felt an intentional graze on my elbow, accompanied by fingertips caressing my skin, instantly I jolted and this caused the wine I was pouring into a glass to spill all over.“Oh my goodness!” I exclaimed.“What have you done, Athena!”The loud voice of Lorrie thundered from the opposite end of the table, causing my heart to beat even faster.“I'm… I'm truly sorry, Lorrie, it's my fault.”“Yes, it is your fault. You never should have opted to serve breakfast when you know you're incapable, now see what you've done to my boyfriend!”She screamed out in anger. What did she mean? I quickly turned towards the direction of Ragas and the smell of wine greeted my nostrils.Immediately, I let out a shocked gasp with my hand to my mouth.“I'm… I'm so sorry for spilling the wine on you.”“As if your apologies will work right now. Love, you should get out of your shirt. And you, Athena, I don't care how you do it but make sure the Alpha's white shirt is thoroughly washed by you. It must be sparkling, else I'll surely give you the worst of all punishment.”“It's okay, Lorrie, though she might be good at serving, it still doesn't change the fact that she's blind.”“Don't tell me you're supporting her carelessness, Alpha Ragas?”“Of course not, my love. I just don't want us to be known for bullying Athena because she's blind.”“This is my pack, and I dare any pack member to say such nonsense in my pack. I swear I'll never let them go.”**I stood in front of the washing machine in the laundry room, with Ragas shirt in hand. A tear escaped my eyes at that moment, but I quickly wiped it off. If only Lorrie had any idea what's going on.Just as I was about to find my way around the switch to the laundry machine, so I could wash Ragas shirt, the door to the room flew open.Without having to ask who it was, his scent gave him away.“What are you doing here?”“Athena, I'm sorry for what happened earlier, I-”“Don't say anything! I would rather not hear your lies. Why did you do that in front of your girlfriend?”I asked in anger.“I know I shouldn't have done that, but I couldn't control myself.”“Why don't you just go ahead and reject me? I'm tired of this? Please!"The next thing I knew, he walked up to me and held me around the waist.ATHENA'S POV.I picked him up, and turned him around, giggling with him.“What did you just call me? What did you?” I asked in a funny voice, rubbing noses with him.He giggled.“MaMa.” He called again, and I squealed. When I opened my door widely for the first time in months, the maids seemed shocked. I had only always opened it halfway to take food, so they wouldn't be worried I wasn't eating.“Miss!” They said, with tears in their eyes, as they smiled, and I opened one arm. They came to me, and I hugged them as well as I could.Aiden and I went to Alpha Ragas' grave, waiting for Tristan, who would return that night.“Hi.” I said sweetly to Alpha Ragas, and dusted the pictures of him, and us, before placing them gently on the grave. “Say hi Aiden. Say hi.”“Ay.” He said, and I laughed. “It's been like… over two months since you left, and we all miss you, although, I'm still going to tell Aiden you're a coward because you didn't stay.” I said, smiling. “By the way, you haven't come
ATHENA'S POV.I shuddered, and heaved heavily, feeling like all breath had been stolen from me. He was gone! He would never speak, never smile, never see me. “Alpha Ragas?” I suddenly wished to hear his voice, craved to hear him call my name. Knowing I could never satisfy that craving, made me want to go mad. “Alpha Ragas?” I called, but he didn't reply. I screamed, and screamed again, holding him to my chest. It felt like I would die. My mate had died, and I and my wolf were feeling immense pain. Our goodbye was so painful, and I wished he never came to save me. “Alpha Ragas.” I cried. Crying seemed like it wouldn't be enough. I wanted to cry my soul out. I wanted to scream until there was nothing left to scream.“Help me! I'm dying!” I screamed, hugging his body to me, trying to keep him warm. It didn't help that the atmosphere was cold. It was cooling his warm body faster than food. Alpha Ragas eyes stared lifelessly at the sky, and it tore my heart apart. The palace behind me
ATHENA'S POV.We stopped running at the same time. His face contorted in pain, and while I remained standing, he fell. My mouth was open, and my breathing began to come out faster. I screamed. I screamed again. My screams seemed to be in distant echoes. I screamed again and again, and fell to my knees. I raised his head on my laps, and tried to stop the blood gushing out of his heart. Why his chest? Why!? Couldn't they have shot his leg? The blood poured out through the space in my fingers, and soaked his clothes terribly. It seemed like everything around me had stopped. I couldn't hear the men any more even though I knew they were coming from us. It felt like my heart was bleeding. Blood gushed out in the form of pain. My chest hurt so much! Words were unable to explain my pain. “Alpha Ragas!” I screamed. Not like that. He wasn't to die like that. I was yet to thank him, and make him feel happy for saving me. Even if I couldn't be with him, I wanted to make it up to him.He cou
ATHENA'S POV.Alpha Ragas immediately got to his feet, and raced towards the closet as silently as he could. I hid my almost loosened wrists properly behind me, and tried to look hopeless, and scared. The door opened almost immediately, and a maid came in. Without intending to, my head darted towards the closet where Alpha Ragas was. She looked at the closet closely, and I coughed.“I need some water, please. I've been really thirsty. There's no water anywhere.” I said, trying to look really thirsty. “Do I look as if I came here to attend to you? I came here because there is something I have to tell you. Something you might not find exactly pleasing.” She said, haughtily, and I swallowed. “Something I might not find exactly pleasing?” I repeated, and she smiled. “I know the man who came into the castle, following you, or should I say the man who sneaked in after you. He's Alpha Ragas.” She said, taking out a thin knife from her pocket. My eyes trailed the wicked curve of its blade
ATHENA'S POV. No one would ever understand the feeling of gratitude I felt at that moment. Despite being very horrible to me, he jumped headfirst into trouble to save me. That touched me greatly. I was only scared for him. The men around were a lot and they seemed trained to be brutal, merciless, and unforgiving. If they happened to see him, they would take him down, and we'd both get our hearts eaten together because I could tell he was alone and didn't bring anyone along.Alpha Daven walked away, then turned back to me. “Do you want to say something or…?” He asked, and I blinked, trying to push my guilt, and relief out of my face.“You're forgetting that all creatures will eventually die. Everything you're doing right now is in vain.” I spat at him, and he laughed, clapping his hands in amusement.“Isn't it funny how you should be the one telling those words to yourself? All creatures will die someday. You're going to die in two days, there's nothing different in that. Also, whate
ATHENA'S POV.When I opened my eyes, I was on a cold floor, and all around me was tons of space. My hands were tied behind my back, and there was a gag in my mouth. It hurt the corners of my lips, and my sounds were all muffled, as I tried to call for anyone who was behind me. No one answered, so I tried to recall what had happened. There had been the guy with the phone. Yes, he was the one who had abducted me. But wait? Why would anyone want to capture the Luna of the pack? Did they want to make Tristan mad? Why would they do something as stupid as that?I suddenly felt large and strong hands grip my shoulder, and I made a loud muffled sound, as I was made to sit. It turned out I wasn't alone afterall. I was in a large warehouse, and there were men in dark suits lined in two different columns with a lot of space between them. They looked like body guards, but on second thought, they looked like assassins with black glasses on their faces. It meant there was someone else—the boss. T
