Wanted By The Alphas

ATHENA

“Athena!”

The shrieking voice of my sister, Lorrie, instantly jolted me awake.

“How dare you sleep by this time when you ought to make me breakfast!”

“I'm… I'm so sorry,” I muttered while trying to find my cane.

“Don't tell me sorry! You're always so slow, and it's disgusting!”

“I'm truly sorry, Lorrie, I didn't get to sleep early last night that wh-”

“Excuses! Get the fuck out of bed and make breakfast!” She yelled and quickly walked out of my room, slamming the door shut behind me with a loud bang.

Without a second wait, I quickly stretched my hands towards the edge of my bed and thankfully, I found my cane. Immediately, I grabbed a hold of my cane and managed to get down from the bed.

Though I was blind, I could still carry out chores and never worry about my blindness. I simply just use my nostrils to detect things.

With the cane in front of me, I led my way into the bathroom, where I washed my face. I wish I could look in the mirror and see what I looked like. Though my eyes were wide open. I still can't see what it looks like.

After washing up, I quickly walked out of my room and went straight to the kitchen. Getting to the passage leading to the different factions in the pack house, all I had to do was trace the smell of food, and that is how I found myself there.

As soon as I arrived in the kitchen, the maids present all let out a hiss.

“She's late again!” One exclaimed.

“Come on, Diane, don't be so mean. You know she's the last to sleep, so it's only right that she'll always be late.”

“That's none of my concern. Do you think Miss Lorrie will want to hear that? You know how mad she was today when we didn't prepare what she wanted on time.”

Though I was in the room, they discussed it as if I were an invisible being.

“Why is she wanting an early morning breakfast, though.”

“What do you think? Her prince charming is arriving today. You know this is what she does whenever he comes around.”

They were talking about Alpha Ragas. I heaved a long, deep sigh. I guess I'll be having enough trouble today.

After preparing breakfast as usual, I was pushed to the front to serve the table. Every other maid refused to serve Lorrie, especially when she's with Ragas, and this is because she wanted a perfect table and the slightest of mistakes will make her punish whoever it was.

The reason I was being pushed to the forefront was because somehow, I managed to serve her without making any mistakes, even though I was blind.

“Alright, it's your turn to serve, Miss Lorrie now. Since you can't carry the tray yourself, I'll do so. Meanwhile, when you get there, you'll do the serving. Understood?”

“Yes, understood,” I replied.

I sensed the maid walk in front while I followed behind her with my cane in hand.

As soon as we arrived at the table, I sensed Lorrie and Ragas at the table. I could always perceive Alpha Ragas scent whenever he was around.

“I'm leaving, take care of the rest,” the maid who had carried the tray in, whispered into my ears before walking away. I clenched and unclenched my teeth before going further with serving the table.

While I was serving the table, I didn't realize that I was close to Ragas, and this was because all I thought about was how to get away from the table after serving them. Just as I decided to pour wine into the wine glasses, I suddenly felt an intentional graze on my elbow, accompanied by fingertips caressing my skin, instantly I jolted and this caused the wine I was pouring into a glass to spill all over.

“Oh my goodness!” I exclaimed.

“What have you done, Athena!”

The loud voice of Lorrie thundered from the opposite end of the table, causing my heart to beat even faster.

“I'm… I'm truly sorry, Lorrie, it's my fault.”

“Yes, it is your fault. You never should have opted to serve breakfast when you know you're incapable, now see what you've done to my boyfriend!”

She screamed out in anger.

What did she mean? I quickly turned towards the direction of Ragas and the smell of wine greeted my nostrils.

Immediately, I let out a shocked gasp with my hand to my mouth.

“I'm… I'm so sorry for spilling the wine on you.”

“As if your apologies will work right now. Love, you should get out of your shirt. And you, Athena, I don't care how you do it but make sure the Alpha's white shirt is thoroughly washed by you. It must be sparkling, else I'll surely give you the worst of all punishment.”

“It's okay, Lorrie, though she might be good at serving, it still doesn't change the fact that she's blind.”

“Don't tell me you're supporting her carelessness, Alpha Ragas?”

“Of course not, my love. I just don't want us to be known for bullying Athena because she's blind.”

“This is my pack, and I dare any pack member to say such nonsense in my pack. I swear I'll never let them go.”

I stood in front of the washing machine in the laundry room, with Ragas shirt in hand. A tear escaped my eyes at that moment, but I quickly wiped it off. If only Lorrie had any idea what's going on.

Just as I was about to find my way around the switch to the laundry machine, so I could wash Ragas shirt, the door to the room flew open.

Without having to ask who it was, his scent gave him away.

“What are you doing here?”

“Athena, I'm sorry for what happened earlier, I-”

“Don't say anything! I would rather not hear your lies. Why did you do that in front of your girlfriend?”

I asked in anger.

“I know I shouldn't have done that, but I couldn't control myself.”

“Why don't you just go ahead and reject me? I'm tired of this? Please!"

The next thing I knew, he walked up to me and held me around the waist.
