Rejected by My Mate, Fated to the Lycan King

Rejected by My Mate, Fated to the Lycan King

What they’ve guessed at and what they’ve made up to explain what they can’t see. Scarlett returns and finds me still holding the book. She arches a brow. “Should I get you a tote bag?” I shove the book under my arm and mutter, “We’re buying it.” She beams like she’s just won something. We leave with the book, two more pastries, and a pair of hand-stitched bookmarks made by a woman who insisted her cat is psychic. I don’t ask follow-up questions. Later, back at the inn, I wander past Cerelia and Soren’s room. I hear murmured spellwork and low humming.

Her mother's lover

Her mother's lover

Scarlett’s POV The room smelled like blood and wet whiskey and something older like an old book left open too long. My heart still hammered against my ribs the way it had when Loren smiled the ghost of a smile. “Because spectacle is the only way to make certain people see. Because cruelty and revelation are the languages the powerful understand.” He fixed his eyes on me. “And because we need you to choose.”

Forced To Be The Mafia King's Bride

Forced To Be The Mafia King's Bride

I sat beside her, and she immediately stretched her legs back out, her feet landing in my lap. "What are you reading?" She held up the book without looking away from the page. "A mystery novel. A detective in Victorian London." I caught sight of the cover. A woman in a low-cut dress leaned against a man in a top hat, their faces inches apart in the fog. The Scarlet Letter Murders. I grabbed the book from her hands. "Hey!" She sat up, reaching for it. I flipped through a few pages. My eyes landed on a passage. His mouth found the hollow of her throat as his fingers worked the laces of her corset…

Sadly, I’m deleting the book for now and finding something completed to read. I’d rather come back when it’s finished than keep getting frustrated waiting for updates. Such a shame because I really loved this story. ...

Resurrected (Book #9 in the Vampire Journals)

Resurrected (Book #9 in the Vampire Journals)

There’d be a lot of questioning—and she didn’t have any answers. Scarlet finally reached the end of what felt like the longest hall in the school, came to the last door, and grabbed the knob. She braced herself and took a deep breath, clutching her books in one hand, and opened it. “The algorithm for a triangle that does not exceed—”

The Alpha's Slave Mate

The Alpha's Slave Mate

His eyes are dark, and I can see that he is trying to contain his wolf. “SCARLET I said get your bag NOW, do not make me repeat myself again.” Dorian’s eyes are wild, and he is pacing. “AHEM.” Everyone is startled by the voice coming from the other side of the car, we had all been paying attention to the drama in front of us. Turning I can see that Theo is standing there, like Caleb his eyes are dark, and he is barely hanging onto his ability to talk normally. “If I might have a moment of your time Scarlet, I think there is some information that you may find useful.” Theo thumps down a rather old and yellowing leather-bound book on the top of the car.

Dear Danielle, I have really enjoyed reading this book so far; but I must admit that I’m currently stumpted about where the book has been paused at. Maybe, if possible, please resume writing chapters then I would feel more satisfied if there was at least some type of closure to the story. Thanks!
Michelle
Danielle are you going to finish this book? I understand you had a family emergency but months ago you posted you would finally start writing again but there have been no updates. If your not please tell us so we can stop looking for updates and remove it from our reading list!

Fated (Book #11 in the Vampire Journals)

Fated (Book #11 in the Vampire Journals)

Why couldn’t they just talk to her, just try to find out what was going on with her, instead of rushing to condemn her? Scarlet flew over her house, high above, and saw it, somewhere down below amidst the lights flickering between the trees. She knew it would be so easy to just dive down and enter it. And yet, the easiest route was also the hardest. Scarlet felt she couldn’t go home, felt that she didn’t really have a home anymore to go home to. Something inside her had irrevocably changed. She didn’t really trust her parents anymore, and she didn’t trust them to understand what she was going through.

The Legendary Luna ( Luna With No wolf)

The Legendary Luna ( Luna With No wolf)

I could feel something like a faint pulse of energy coming from it, as if the book itself was alive and… waiting. “Scarlet?” I called out, hoping for an answer. Silence. No response. Not even a whisper in my mind. My heart thudded. She was just there, why would she go silent now? I ran my fingers over the carved title again. The Legendary Luna. The words seemed to glow faintly under my touch, but the book still refused to open. I sat on the edge of the bed, the book clutched in my lap. “What are you hiding from me?” I whispered.

REBIRTH: This time I will be a Witch!

REBIRTH: This time I will be a Witch!

"Ohh... hmmm. I-I w- was just... I was just... I was just having a hard time understanding something that I have read from the book. I was busy pondering over it, that is why I was in a daze." Audrey tried her best not to stutter as she gave her friends an on the spot lie with a straight face. "Errr... I think you would really have a hard time understanding something if you would read a book that way." Niccoli said to Audrey as he looked at the book that she was holding. The others also looked at the book in Audrey's hand and it was only at that time did they noticed what was wrong with the book. "MEOW" [You are reading the book upside down, little lass.]

His Forbidden Scarlett

His Forbidden Scarlett

“Scarlett, wait! What about your mother's old diary? The one you asked me to find in the apartment storage?!" Yes. I remembered asking her to find it for me. It had been all I had from my mother after she died. But it suddenly went missing when I turned nine. I didn't read meaning into it back then. I was a clumsy, careless young girl. But now, especially since the issue of my mother's death had resurfaced, I needed all the information I could gather. My heart leaped into my throat. "You found it?" "Yes! I went through those dusty boxes yesterday! There's a whole binder full of old letters and a small red book. Scarlett, some of the stuff written in here doesn't make any sense. She keeps wri

The Fame Paradox

The Fame Paradox

Scarlet leaned back in her chair, exhaling slowly. She had learned her lesson two years ago. This time, she wouldn’t be so easy to break. The tides had shifted, the storm had turned, Scarlet watched as the bridges burned. Voices that once called her cold and cruel, Now whispered regrets—were they mere fools? Apologies rang, yet felt too late, Two years of pain, two years of fate. She’d lost her name, her light, her pride, Now the truth had forced the world to decide.
