Inés scrambled upright, clutching the sheet.
Standing there, eyes burning with fury, was Alonso, or rather…. Esteban.
“Inés,” he said coolly, ignoring Gabriel entirely. “We need to talk.”
Gabriel stood, unashamed and shirtless. “Get out.”
Esteban’s smile was ice. “I wasn’t talking to you, brother.”
Brother. The word came out mockingly. As if it tasted foul in his mouth.
Inés stood, trembling.
“What do you want, Alonso?” she asked, testing the name.
