Autumn Reads Novels & Stories

“Pretty sure he’s over by the Smith machine.” Autumn immediately leans sideways in her chair, peeking dramatically toward the door. “Hold on,” she mutters. “Let me evaluate the vibes.” I choke on a laugh. “You’re ridiculous.” “Shh. I’m profiling.” A beat. Then— “…okay,” Autumn says slowly, settling back into her chair. That is not the reaction I expected. I narrow my eyes. “…Okay what?” Her lips twitch. “Oh, honey.” Suspicion blooms immediately. “What does that mean?”

Someone called her and Kate immediately turned to the source of the voice. Her eyes met a pair of brown eyes belonging to a dark haired girl. It only took Kate several seconds before she recalled who the girl in front of her was. "Autumn!" Kate's lips formed a bright smile as she brought herself up and gave Autumn a brief hug. Autumn Summers was one of William’s friends and alumni of Carlton High, her high school back in Washington D.C. "How are you?" "I am good." Autumn let out a small giggle. "How about you? How was the flight?"

Another Autumn. "Oh hello, miss, it's so nice to meet you again. Are you going to marry Uncle Aaron? I want you to marry him because he is so lonely and so good-looking. I like you because you are Aunty Autumn's sister and you are so pretty and nice and sweet and Aunty Autumn loves my brand of food and teaches me cool new recipes! One time I tried to make my other uncle, Jaxon, eat it but he called me a devil and the other one Blake tried to sell me after he ate it and almost died. I didn't do anything wrong—"

he scoffed, raising his brows. "Huh? Tell me you're joking! Omg!" she gasped, clearly amused. "You're obstructing my way to class," he said, and she stepped aside. He began to walk away, and Riri clapped her hands happily. "He's single. Yippee, game on!" she chuckled. Autumn suddenly dropped her book, and Riri looked at her. "Damn it. I was trying to be so quiet," Autumn muttered, biting her lip. "Hey, what are you doing there, bitch!" Riri called, turning to her.

Ooo, it’s cute. I do a quick check of the apartment and am satisfied I am ready for Autumn to arrive. I have put some of her favorite books by the bed for her to read, although knowing my bestie, she will have at least six books with her plus her Kindle. Autumn reads as much as I do. Back in NYC we used to be part of a book reading group. I need to find one here, or maybe I could start one up myself. Perhaps I could use a corner of the restaurant for it during the day, when I am not officially open. Er, that could be an idea. Maybe I am on to something, Mom could make the cakes for us and some snacks, and I could charge a small fee or make money off the coffee

This is book two in the series, we are going to see Autumn evolve to become the person she is meant to be with her bff and vampire love by her side

It's still cute as fuck. "Have the two of you read the article yet?" Alex says as she waves the magazine in the air and Autumn plucks it out of her hands. "Uhh, I can't even imagine that millions of strangers are staring at us right now." Autumn says as she flips the magazine to show me the photo. "At the very least we look great." She adds as she sits down, " "High school sweethearts." She might as well have written "eternal lovers" while she was at it."

"I've been trying to get the unreleased collection for weeks, but my father froze all my accounts." Charlie's gaze drifted back to Autumn, who had been mute the entire time, observing the exchange with interest. "Autumn Ashton," Charlie said, her voice filled with excitement. "I've heard so much about you. I can't believe this is the first time we've met." Autumn awkwardly nodded, taken aback by Charlie's enthusiasm. "I'm surprised as well, Charlie Fraser," Autumn warmly greeted, trying to hide her intimidation.

“And this. I heard Miss Autumn likes antique texts—I happen to have one in my collection. Bring it to her.” “Alright.” Though Stellar found their enthusiasm a bit unusual, she simply chalked it up to kindness. Later, during her lunch break, she shared the cakes with Autumn and passed along the book, relaying her grandparents’ words. Autumn was clearly touched. “Please thank them for me. When I have the time, I’ll be sure to visit them myself.” She cradled the book gently, flipping through its pages with obvious delight, then picked up a piece of the cake and took a bite.

He turned and ran. … The ceiling fan in the classroom creaked as it turned, while the elderly professor at the podium lectured with great fervor. I propped my chin in my hand. The tip of my pen idly scribbled across my notebook. My phone vibrated in the drawer. My assistant had sent me a message. Eula had fallen into a vegetative state. Luke was taken away by the police as he fled and charged with murder. I set down my pen. A cold smile spread upon my lips.
