“My name is Caleb, and you are standing before the Five Pillars Of Truth that oversee the affairs of the White Moon pack. Would you kindly tell us why you're here, Daphne?” They happened to be the elders of the pack, and they were five in number. From what I heard, Caleb was the kindest of them all, but Gavin was a nightmare. However, no one had ever seen their faces. Perhaps, they were hiding behind the mirrors. If not, then maybe somewhere down below, or above. In the meantime, I looked down, and then lifted my gaze. But I couldn't find anyone of them. I couldn't tell exactly if the voice came from behind. Or perhaps, from the side, or in front.

Even without a wolf's scent, my instincts were screaming. A man stepped into the sickly yellow light of the neon sign. He didn't smell like a wolf. He didn't even smell entirely human. He smelled like ozone, old parchment, and burnt circuitry. He was an Outcaster—a "Static," one of the rare humans who lived on the fringes of the Lycan corporate world, surviving by selling the one thing wolves couldn't master: pure, unadulterated data. "Nobody is looking for me," I rasped. My voice sounded like it had been dragged over gravel. "I'm an Omega. I'm nothing."

Figuring that Ash was her elder brother, it was only normal for her to be more mature than other kids her age. They settled into the movie and except for Chelsea who had watched the movie a gazillion times, Olive and Rosie were shocked by the plot twists that kept popping up. The movie ended about an hour later and they just kept binging on more and more Marvel movies. They were watching Thor:The Dark World, well Chelsea was watching it. Rosie and Olive were conked out on the sofa with the younger's head on the elder's lap and Olive's head on the backrest. Chelsea kept watching until the post-credits came up.

Fennel walked while explaining to Philip, whose face constantly flushed with amazement. Philip was surging with excitement right now. Such scenes seemed to have only appeared in Hollywood blockbusters. It was certainly out of this world. The modern version of the Avengers or Fantastic Four? “Over there is the physical training. Some people are not suited to control matter, but they’re born with special physical abilities—high mobility, agility, or perhaps explosive power.” Fennel pointed to the person who kept throwing javelins in that training cabin and explained. Philip continued to follow Fennel. Everywhere he looked, astounding scenes appeared.

I put the pizza on the table and opened it along with the chicken. "Let's watch.. this." We're going to rewatch the avengers again because I want to prepare my heart for the Avenger: Infinity Wars. God.. I'm so excited for that movie and I'm a big fan of Tom Holland. We will go to their premiere next Wednesday and I'm so excited to meet the cast. "Here.." I picked up one slice of pizza for him because he still can't bend down or pick up something from a lower place. He still has his bandage around his body since his ribs cracked.

Alexander POV: When Mom went down and Avery barked orders, no one listened, as I expected. Without thinking much, I shouted, "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!! ARE YOU REALLY OKAY WITH LETTING THE MOTHER OF FOUR CHILDREN DIE??? TWO OF WHICH ARE JUST NOW DEVELOPING THEIR WOLVES! YOU KNOW THAT'S HOW ROGUES ARE CREATED RIGHT?! SO GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND HELP OUR MOTHER!!!"

His bullies, if I guessed right, happened to be humans. Obviously, it was going to be a mismatch if either of them was stupid enough to cause a fight. Eric might be an omega werewolf, but a fight between him and a regular human would be a piece of cake to him. I don't care how agile or physical that person may be. As long as he was human, Eric would make mincemeat out of him. Figuratively speaking, of course. To top it off, Eric was a member of the school's football team and had the physique to match, thanks to his genes.

••• SEBASTIAN “Alpha the car is waiting for us,”Beta Dryden informs me and I turn off my Mac book before heading out. Today we were taking a road trip to Liverpool where Nicolas is meeting us for the meeting with the Alpha of Liverpool. He’s a good lad and I hope he is ready to fight with us. “Alpha what is our course of action, do we give him projections of how the war will turn out?” “Yes, that’s precisely what we will do and it is his choice to join forces with us or not.”

Except he was the person on the bike that night. “You’ve been following me around?” I narrowed my gaze, my fingers curling into a fist. He dipped the phone back into his pocket. “Let’s just say I take an interest in patients before treating them.” “I’m not your patient.” “Not yet,” he said, still calm. “But if I were to release the pictures and tell the world that you are becoming an omega. Imagine how the press would ravage it. ‘Tom Rivers is becoming an Omega for Gerard Vance, the man who created the Omega drug so Alphas could fall in love.” He paused, staring at me. “Beautiful headline. Do you think your father would like it?”

“How about we have that conversation now?" “If that's what you want." I could sense the teasing edge in his tone. I took in a big breath, trying to prepare myself for the talk. "While I was out, I saw Athena again. She told me some things about Dominic." I started. “The vampire?" He asked and I nodded. "She told me that he was her opposition for a long time, she defeated him but he found a way to reincarnate here. He's here for business, he won't rest at all till he gets what he wants.” I said.
