My eyes drift closed. The darkness behind my lids is the same as the darkness in the cell. The same suffocating blackness that wraps around my chest and squeezes. I'm so tired. So impossibly, bone-deep tired. Just for a moment, I tell myself. Just a few minutes of sleep. Then I'll wake up. Then I'll keep fighting. Then, the door creaks. My eyes snap open. Footsteps. Light. Careful. Not Kai's heavy tread. Not the guards' careless shuffle. Someone else.

I only shook my head, stepping forward again. The divine light swirled around me. It licked my skin like fire, yet did not burn. My blood raced, my senses sharpened to edges I had never known. Priests collapsed outright, their bodies convulsing from the overload of power. Young omegas quivered, eyes wide with awe and fear, some screaming as the bond I carried surged beyond comprehension. Those once silent, obedient, submissive… now rose, trembling, yet stronger than before. The first wave of awakening was visible, raw, and undeniable. They were no longer mine to command, and yet they moved in harmony with the pulse I had sent outward. The old hierarchy was dissolving before my eyes.

Senna’s POV My eyes flew open. Someone was invading our space. The sounds of breathing was thick in the air. Bolting to an upright position, I reached for my bow. It was in my hands within seconds. “Wake up,” I hissed to Thor. He was supposed to be on watch, but he must have fallen asleep. He woke up immediately. Three people in front of us froze.

Unclear images of figures, ancient symbols, and other things that she couldn't place her hands on. "What are you doing?" Mia gasped, struggling against the hold, but the woman's grip was surprisingly too strong for her age. "I am awakening what has been suppressed," the woman replied, her voice now deeper and more commanding than before. "Preparing you for what is to come. For the choice you must make." Her eyes now seemed to glow with an inner light. "The true mate bond... is not what you believe it to be. There are more layers to what you already know, child. Secrets..."

Dawn crept over the horizon in pale, reluctant light, painting the valley in muted shades of grey and gold. Eva woke with a start, the echoes of the night still vibrating in her chest. Every muscle ached from the previous confrontation, every nerve on edge from the unspoken threats that lingered in the shadows. She had survived the Awakening Storm, but she knew that survival was merely the first step. The real challenge control, understanding, strategy was only beginning.

His body seemed to tremble with excitement, and he couldn't contain his excitement any longer. With an exuberant burst of energy, Bless jumped up from his seat, and his tiny feet pattered on the stage as he ran towards the presenter, who knelt down to his level, extending a shiny trophy towards him. Bless's small hands reached out, trembling with excitement, to accept the trophy. It felt like a treasure from a fairy tale, and he clutched it to his chest with a mix of pride and wonder.

Thinking I was bleeding, I lifted my shirt—only to see that the diamond-shaped mark on my waist had vanished. “Awakening has three stages: first, you live like an ordinary person. Second, you regain your memories. Third, you awaken as a chief god. When awakening occurs, you may choose to discard the memories of your reborn life and fully become the self from over three thousand years ago… or you may retain all your current memories…” Her pale purple lips moved with each word, and I absorbed every single one—but it was completely beyond my ability to process. Memories spanning millennia, every shattered fragment from my dreams, all surged like a tidal wave, completely drowning my thoughts. I
