V I woke up in a cold sweat from a terrible nightmare. In my dream, a pack of wolves had surrounded Richard, Daciana, and me. I had transformed into a werewolf to fight them off, but they had snatched and devoured Daciana right in front of me. My heart was racing, and I could barely catch my breath. Richard was sleeping beside me, and my nightmare had woken him up. I told him everything, but he tried to reassure me that nothing bad would happen to Daciana or me. But the fear had already set in, and I couldn't shake it off.

"Wake up, sleeping beauty." Jaiyana is awakened from her sleep by a familiar hoarse voice. She stood up as soon as the voice registered in her mind and she realized who the owner of that voice was. Her vision went black, and the dizziness caused her to stumble on her feet. Her soft body was saved from falling by a strong and thick arm. She felt electrified. The unexpected occurrence rendered her speechless and embarrassed.

*** Philip opened his eyes and glanced around the room, wondering what had woken him up. It didn't take him long to figure out that it was the buzzing sound coming from his phone. He would have reached for the phone but his mate chose that moment to snuggle closer against him. Philip's arms instinctively tightened around Troy, his phone, completely forgotten.

She fell asleep, not long after and I was left with my thoughts. I settled down on the bed to rest my aching joints but not long after, I heard a buzzing sound and I lazily swatted at my ear. Pesky mosquitoes won't let one be, even with the air-conditioning on. I settled into a more comfortable position but just as I was dozing off, I heard someone groaning. I jerked awake with a start and I realised I had drifted off to sleep. Someone was shaking me but I couldn't see who because the room was swarthed in darkness. I switched on the bedside lamp and the soft glow illuminated the room, leaving certain parts in shadow.

“You wanted me to come back?” A slow, dangerous calm slid over me, coiling with the fire I’d found at the bottom of that bath. “Fine. I’ll come back.” I curled my fingers into the thin blanket, feeling unfamiliar muscles tighten, a stranger’s heart thudding hard in my chest. “But this time, it will be different,” I promised. “I’m not going to be the weak one.” And somewhere deep inside, that vow settled like a seed. Awakening. Not for redemption.

I called out, 'Haze, wake up, Haze,' as I shook her body, trying to wake her from the grips of her terrifying dream. She jolted awake at my effort, looking scared and surprised. It took a moment for her to realize that she had been trapped in a nightmare. She was covered in sweat, her breathing rapid and shallow. After a few moments, she finally spoke, her voice trembling, "I'm okay now. You can go back to sleep. Sorry for waking you up."

Chapter 47: A Desperate Awakening Hana jolted upright, her body drenched in cold sweat, her breath coming in ragged gasps. The nightmare had gripped her so tightly that, for a moment, she wasn’t sure where she was—whether she was still trapped in that hellish realm or if she had truly returned to the waking world. Her eyes darted around, searching for the familiar markers of reality. The coarse blanket beneath her, the dim light filtering through the cracked window, and the muffled sounds of the pack outside—all of these slowly grounded her back to where she was: a rundown cabin far from the clearing where her old life had been torn apart.

After sunrise, I felt very sleepy and went to sleep. "Basic werewolf has no discipline, is an adult but still always sleeps on the table." If I was asleep, it would be very difficult to wake up. But, don't worry, I will wake up when it's time for me to wake up at ten at night or nine at night. But, I will wake up prematurely if I dream about how the tragedy of my family massacre happened. After waking up, I just stay in the room and spend time alone with spelling books or magic books like spellings that humans rarely know about.

Then my sight blurred at the edges, the glowing runes smearing into streaks of silver. I staggered forward, gripping the edge of the stone bed as my knees buckled. My wolf howled inside me, not in pain but in need and hunger. Heat flooded my body in waves, coiling low in my spine and spreading outward, drowning every rational thought. My scent exploded into the room, raw and uncontrolled, saturated with need. My heart thundered, but my awareness and reasoning slipped through my fingers. This was the Awakening. My strength drained even as something deeper unfurled. I felt exposed, stripped down to nothing but want. Every breath burned. Every nerve ended in longing. The Blood Moon wasn’t awake

I vaguely felt someone rubbing the bruising on my right hand while I was half-conscious. "What do you mean he got into a car accident, and that three critical-condition notices were issued? Is this a lingering effect? It seems like the wound on the abdomen is slightly infected. "I'll head out for a while. Have the nurse hurry with the anti-inflammatories and change the dressing. Go turn up the AC and get the IV heater in here." I pried my eyes open with effort, meeting a gaze full of worry. "D-Delilah?" Delilah replied, "I'm right here, so just go back to sleep, Tristan. You'll feel better once you've rested."
