Jerking awake and feelings of the same nightmare that been plaguing my dreams as of late it takes me a few minutes to slow my heart rate and realize I’m on the plane from the same nightmare that has plagued my dreams for the last month, I’m disoriented and forgetting where I am because I still have the lingering feeling of suffocating Like every time I wake up sweating profusely with my heart pounding with a feeling of overwhelming and dreadful darkness. unable to remember what happened in the dream

But alone in the hall, I felt exposed, longing for the ground to open up and swallow me whole. I sighed and tried to settle into the bed, convincing myself that Mia would return. Just as I began to doze off, a cacophony of shouts jolted me awake. I jumped from the bed and rushed to the door, heart racing as alarms blared and voices cried out, “We’re under attack!”

He ordered. She didn't woke up and he repeated his action from earlier but it sill had no effect. He couldn't help but chuckle. She sure is a heavy sleeper. "Baby, wake up. It's me Ares, your mate." He said and Thea moved slightly in her sleep. "Ares?" She whispered with close eyes. "I am here baby." He said and Thea opend her eyes ever so slowly. The view in front of her was blurry and she blinked her eyes few times.

“Care to know where you are going?” I hadn’t spoken so how did he know I was awake? Again, I choose to keep my mouth shut, it was better for him to think that I was out of it. Alwin suddenly drops me to the ground. My neck cracked as I hit the floor head first sending a stabbing pain through my spine. My body sprawls forward as I land on my stomach with a dull thud. I try to keep my eyes wide and blink a lot to make him think that I was in a state of confusion when he suddenly kicks me in the ribs, knocking the air out of me.

I lick my lip to try and feel out what's so wrong, only to find teeth sharp and long, and a sensation of fur around the edges. I wolfed. I’m a wolf, and I shake it off, shake my head to bring my sight back to clear and fuzz-free, so I can turn and see the others around me. A weird movement that’s ungraceful and dog-like, that knocks me off balance. Nearby, a smaller wolf sits and looks at its paws, as I was, yet it glows too. Blue and surreal, as though the moon has rolled down to illuminate us with her touch, and it’s eerily pretty. Something I have never seen before at an Awakening. They don’t seem to be in pain anymore, either, and I wonder if the worst has passed. None of them is crying

She alighted at his house and went in without alerting anyone. “Dennis “ she called in the empty hall but no one responded. She proceeded to the bedroom and was shocked by what she saw. “WHAT!” she exclaimed with her eyes wide open. The two adulterous pair on my bed was awakened by her scream and got up. She would have never thought that her man will betray her with none other than her step-sister. And felt betrayed and left in anger

Aurora’s POV I drifted in the realm of sleep but a persistent tug pulled at the edges of my consciousness, urging me to awaken. At first, I resisted, clinging to the comforting embrace of slumber. But the pull grew stronger, a persistent whisper in the depths of my mind. With a reluctant sigh, I relented, gradually surfacing from the depths of sleep. As my senses sharpened, I became acutely aware of the urgency pervading my thoughts—a primal instinct urging me to action.

Alison suddenly dropped the book and fell to her knees. The pain in her chest grew unbearable.

Thinking I was bleeding, I lifted my shirt—only to see that the diamond-shaped mark on my waist had vanished. “Awakening has three stages: first, you live like an ordinary person. Second, you regain your memories. Third, you awaken as a chief god. When awakening occurs, you may choose to discard the memories of your reborn life and fully become the self from over three thousand years ago… or you may retain all your current memories…” Her pale purple lips moved with each word, and I absorbed every single one—but it was completely beyond my ability to process. Memories spanning millennia, every shattered fragment from my dreams, all surged like a tidal wave, completely drowning my thoughts. I
