HIS MINI BEAR
As he stood in front of me, a sense of discomfort began to settle in and I instinctively took a step back, unconsciously.
"You are quiet, too quiet. Edrick's opposite," I remarked.
"Observant. One of the special traits of a woman," he acknowledged.
"I like your eyes," he murmured softly.
I struggled to maintain eye contact, the intensity of the situation weighing heavily on me.
As I averted my gaze, a sense of relief washed over me briefly, only to be replaced by a lingering sense of unease.
It's hard to make eye contact. Dammit.
"Who are you?" I repeated, the question hanging in the air, unanswered.
