Novel & Cerita Back And Better Book

After all those years together, it was the first time Ryan had ever called out to me like that. I stared at him blankly. "What do you want?" His eyes held something close to pleading. "I came to take you back." I looked at him in confusion. "Back where? I live here." Ryan reached for me again, but I stepped out of reach. "I mean back to where you really belong." A bitter smile tugged at my lips. I remembered—crystal clear—the day he had once warned me, "Home? This will never be your home. Don't be stupid. My pack and villa have nothing to do with you."

I never expected to see Sean again, and certainly not at my personal fashion exhibition. He had lost a lot of weight, and his presence was worn down. When our eyes met, there was a strange look on his face, something between a laugh and a sob. It was almost absurd. By then, though, my heart had fully healed. I could once again stand beneath the spotlight and speak to the audience, with poise and confidence that had always been mine. I had already climbed out of the lowest point of my life. So, I named this exhibition “Rebirth”, a celebration not just of my work, but of my own revival.

The boss was already good enough to you at the start. No performance targets, high pay, no pressure, no penalties for being late, and he even planned to share profits with you. You were the ungrateful ones who stabbed him in the back and reported him. "That’s why he revised the rules later. The key point is that the revised rules were completely standard, just like any normal company. He didn’t overstep at all.

After her working hours ended, Kathilyn was organising her desk before going back home, when she suddenly felt someone approaching her from behind. "So, are you going to have dinner with me?" She heard Benjamin's voice from beside her ears. "Dinner? Sure if it's on you. I mean you owed me for embarrassing me in front of everyone " Kathilyn rolled her eyes at Benjamin. "Isn't it the opposite? You're the one who should pay since I helped getting you out of trouble." Benjamin scoffed sarcastically. "Alright, I'll pay." He continued before walking out of the office. "I'll wait for you in my car." He said again and made his way to the door.

she murmured softly as she slid into the seat. He closed the door with a quiet click, circling around to the driver’s side. Moments later, the car purred to life, and they eased into the flow of traffic, heading back toward Queens. As the city lights blurred past them, Natalia found herself gazing out the window, her mind spinning with thoughts of Damien, Camila, and the life she’d carefully kept hidden for so long.
