I bark, shoving him toward Ryder before forcing my way deeper into the hellscape. I surge forward, weaving through the inferno, lungs screaming in protest. The cyanide gas hisses, sparking against loose wiring, sending unpredictable explosions roaring through the building. The heat is unbearable, suffocating. Fuck. Rage and desperation fuel my steps as I search the lounge, my heart hammering. Finally, I see Bam Bam. She’s sprawled on the ground, trapped beneath a heavy couch. Her frail body barely moves. The only sign of life is her bloodshot, terrified eyes staring blankly, her chest rising in the weakest, most pitiful gasps.

"What? Don't brag! You're not a witch any more! You're an ordinary creature! Get it!" The floor suddenly shook violently. Jay and Ruby gasped, reflexively clinging to each other. The texture of the debris reminded Ruby of the bread crumbs he gave the fish. He felt that the fish was in a threatened position. "Jay? What's going on here? “Can you please not do this right now?” But Bambi only smirked, her voice climbing even higher. “Oh, let them watch. Maybe they deserve to know what a slut you really are.” I rolled my eyes so hard it almost hurt. “Wow. Original. You ever get tired of recycling the same boring insults?” Before she could snap back, movement caught my eye. Maxton. His jaw was tight, eyes locked on us as he stormed over. Without hesitation, he grabbed Bambi’s arm and yanked her back, anger blazing in his stare.
