'Quagmire' is a romance novel which possesses a lot of twists, turns, complications but still enough romance to keep it interesting and thrilling. The book is an entire work of fiction and is not intended to make mockery or downgrade any kind of individual.

Only now the rabbits had teeth and a death wish. Four hours. Four endless, deafening hours of snarling, screaming, breaking. The ground under our paws was muddy, puddles forming in different places, almost like rain had come to visit, but this time, it was blood that soaked every inch of the soil, bodies were piled so high in places we had to leap over them. Still, they came. Wave after wave after wave, crashing against our lines like an ocean that refused to accept the shore existed.

Because that's what babies do. They’re just so loud and smelly. And they spend all their time crying. They are annoying because they can’t even speak, so all they do is cry and you won’t even know what the hell is wrong with them until you stuff a titty into their mouth. The little shits have heavy and big heads, bigger than their bodies, and they are damn fragile. This means if you drop it, it goes headfirst and has its little brain spilled on the floor, and those plastic ribs shattered in pieces.

Chunks of dark stone flew in every direction, the rest of its form crumbling into a loose pile of rubble ten meters back. Silence, for one heartbeat. Then the rubble began to quiver, to slither back together. But slower. Much slower. And the oppressive, soul-crushing aura it emitted? It had dimmed. I’d hurt it. Really hurt it. “Holy hell, Vance,” Marcus breathed, scrambling to his feet, a grin splitting his face. “You actually hurt the damn thing!” Liam’s eyes found mine from across the clearing, past the floating, giggling form of Jenna. His look wasn’t just relief. It was a revelation. A dawning, terrifying hope.

The whiteness of ice cream melted in the chocolate of dirt besides the couple in love. By the morning tomorrow, ants would gather around it to hear the story of vanilla never eaten, of how in dirt or not, it had fulfilled the purpose of its buyers, that it was afterall, not wasted.

She jumped up when she saw me. "Yo man what the fuck, you have to tell me when people are coming in here." She said gathering her pencils and shoving them under a pillow. I knew instantly that the art supplies had to be contraband. My eyes widened, I had never be seen real contraband in person. She most definitely was not assigned those tools, so how did she get them? "Relax Vixen." Fox said then gestured to me. "This is our newest, Bambi."

The replacement thus seemed unreasonable. "Ugh, I won't let him get away with this!" Natasha gritted her teeth. "Don't worry about it. Let Lydia play. Her films are all trash!" Lydia had too many scandals. She was definitely digging her own grave without me lifting a finger. Furthermore, some people even took the opportunity to sling more mud. The entertainment industry was filled with competition for resources. I was sorry about the IP; Allen ruined it. I did not mind at all, but they had clearly triggered me.

The closer we get to the house, the worse the uneasiness inside me grows. My chest feels tight. “What is my duty here?” I finally ask, unable to hold the question back anymore. He doesn’t answer immediately. Then his deep voice cuts through the morning air. “To be Mr. Bambam’s plaything.” The words hit me so hard that my steps almost falter. Plaything. My stomach twists violently. Every horrible possibility crashes into my mind at once, each one worse than the last. I suddenly feel cold despite the heat outside, and the mansion ahead no longer looks beautiful.

His finger was already on the detonator and he rushed up to the Don. Without hesitation, I immediately shoved Don behind the huge marble pillar and used my body as a shield to protect him. There was an ear-deafening explosion right after that. A blast of hot air, carrying splinters of marble and rubble, immediately hit the back of my body. The impact knocked me forward, making me fall on my knees, as sharp pain shot through my bones. I coughed a few times, blood trickling from the corners of my mouth. Then, under Don's astonished gaze, I shielded him from another huge falling rock.
