I am up again before they can turn, my dagger cutting their throat. They collapse, and I glance the bare skin of their wrist. There's a tattoo with the same sigil on the letter commanding me to kill the king. What the f*ck does that mean? I'd never seen someone tattoo a sigil on their skin. Could it have a deeper meaning besides a family line? Althea's scream cuts through the air. I stop cold. Someone is running at her, their weapon poised. I adjust my stance, taking a breath, before I throw.

Across the reception area, through the clusters of guests and swaying couples, a man stands watching me. Even from this distance, I know who he is. Arthur Slater. The new Alpha King. He's tall, broad-shouldered, wearing a charcoal suit that fits perfectly. Dark hair, sharp features, and an aura of command that makes everyone give him space without realizing they're doing it. But it's his eyes that hold me frozen—silver, piercing, seeing too much. Our gazes lock, and the world narrows to just this moment. The mate bond slams into me like a physical force, stealing my breath. Heat floods my body, my wolf suddenly alert and awake in a way she hasn't been since I left Moonridge.

It was my mom, Diana! My blood ran cold. How had she found out so fast? "Selene, I'm going!" I grabbed my bag and dove through the window. Under the moonlight, my bones began to reshape. Gray-brown fur erupted from my skin as my limbs hit the ground. I lowered my body and bolted toward the pack border. "Stop! You brat!" Diana's roar exploded behind me, followed by the sound of her shift—bones cracking and popping. I pushed harder, leaping over brush and splashing through streams.

Vallea sat tied to the chair her hair hung over her face. The water was thrown over her She slowly opened her eyes they cut hair. "Good afternoon Vallea it’s nice to see you are finally with us." "Who are you?" "I’m Nicolo Russo. The maffia king." Oh great a fucking ameture. "You are not the Mafia king, my brother Matteo Robustelli is." "I am and you should remember that.’ "Why am I here?" "You are here as bate, my princess."

Chika raised his sword at the last hour and Ada’s hands vibrated as the shock wave traveled from the sword to her hands and to every part of her body. “Pathetic,” King Chika grumbled and pushed her back. “Why fight a war you can’t win?” He smiled and stripped away the rob he was wearing, revealing the golden armor underneath “I shall grant your death wish. I shall kill you and let the vultures have fun with your flesh.” Ada changed her stance and charged again, but she didn’t relent when the King deflected her blow. She kept the offensive attack, not giving him the time and space to throw any blow.

“And this means that you guys might also have traitors too.” “We know, and it is among the seven primordial.” Vince said as the room silent. “What?” Jake choked out. “Nobody apart from them knew Jessica face or the fact that I have a mate and that they were going shopping yesterday, the coincidences are now too much.” Vince said as Carson shook his head. “I know your story, I am really sorry for that.” “It is okay, the only people who should be sorry are those that betrayed us.” “I suggest that we bring the were king into this conversation before going further.” Gwen said as Carson turned to look at her” I don’t think that he would appreciate being excluded this far.”

Zombie's collapsed chest made a rapid recovery, his broken arm healed instantly, and his strength became more powerful. Demon King was almost scared to death. Crawling to the ground, he shivered and pleaded, "My King, I am your most loyal slave. Please don't kill me..." "Since you are so loyal, offer your blood to me." Zombie was very cruel and was about to grab Demon King. Demon King gritted his teeth, and his eyes were filled with rage. Suddenly, he jumped up and punched Zombie's approaching big hand. Bang! Demon King was a grandmaster of Fifth Grade. His unexpected strike made Zombie stumble a few steps backward.

My back is pressed against his chest, a merger barrier between me and the so-called bandits. “Bring that one!” King Ozar says and a man is pushed towards me. I grip the sleeves of my own dress, before looking at him. There, kneeling at my feet. Dust clung to his sweat-dampened clothes and the bandit’s head hangs low, hiding any expression. Clipper pulls his head back and I squeal, unable to witness the disperses. “Do you see him consort Yeri?” Clipper asks and I look at the man. My breath hitches in my throat, a strangled gasp lost in the tense silence.
