[Avira] The stories I have heard about bandits, the horrible, terrible things they did to their preys, all of the stories I have been told about them directly or through eavesdropping came back to me in a rush. Including the stories I had considered too brutal, and cast off as lies. They all seemed believable now, with Dylan and I this close to becoming preys ourselves.

Their plan was to loot us—we had to carry our stuff with us, it’s not like we had a place to stash it—take our weapons, armor, regiment’s treasury, cut and run through the mountains, and become respected subjects of the neighboring country. They would even earn a reputation with their new home.

I am a little worried but I’m glad that I get to leave my shit show of a life behind really. I guess I feel safe here, I haven’t really ever felt safe not even with Jack, especially after that night. No one knew what he had in mind but, whatever it was, the disgruntled member of the Bandits was not ready for that and neither did he know that the second in command would act that way. Quickly, the second in command dug his two hands inside his pocket. By the time he removed both of them again, two darts flew in the direction of the disgruntled member. The darts travelled at great speed and hit him hard both, in his abdomen. At once, the victim shouted in pain and fell. The second in command rushed over to him and pulled his darts out from his victim's stomach and blood began gushing out. Thus; the disgruntled member was dead leaving the second in command with no opposition.
