It was magical. To the left was the table set for the reception dinner, decorated impressively. More guests would arrive later for the reception. Round tables were covered in blush-coloured tablecloths with matching chairs, garlands of ivory flowers and ribbons of white fabric creating a roof above. To the far side were the dance floor and the cake.

Agoda Hotel's business banquet hall. The crystal chandelier hung high in the middle of the ceiling, reflecting the luster of glass. A long dining table was neatly placed in the center of the large banquet hall, covered with a snow-white tablecloth, and silver tableware was placed down one by one. All kinds of delicious foods were placed on it, and the smell of the food drifted in the air. On the carpet stood businessmen of City T, celebrities, young ladies, all dressed up. As they moved, they emanated all kinds of perfume.

I gave it a loving little pat before we left to head back to the banquet gala. Stella saw me pat the roll of fabric and rolled her eyes teasingly. “Don’t worry,” she said, wrapping her arm around my waist. “It’s all yours now. It’s not going anywhere.” The banquet was taking place in another room, a grand room with a dance floor and tables upon tables of food. Dillon and Cam had claimed a table near one of the food tables. They waved us over. We rushed towards them, my face plastered in a euphoric smile.

A pure white tablecloth with golden tassels was draped over the dining table. In the center was a golden, silk-embroidered flag. The entire setup seemed luxurious and beautiful.

"Fine. Have it your way. But remember, Chloe, you brought this on yourself." Chloe turned on her heel and stormed out of the room, her heart racing with fury and fear. She knew that Liam wasn't bluffing. He was capable of doing anything to get what he wanted, and she was caught in the middle of his twisted game. The walls were draped in rich fabrics of deep reds and golds, and candelabras flickered throughout the room, casting a warm, golden glow. Malia POV "Having a chatter in the dance hall?" Mr Rowan Sinclair asked, a smug smile on his face. "Come on kids, let's head to the table." We moved over to the banquet table, and I saw several businessmen and women seated comfortably, each of them dressed in expensive corporate dresses. The banquet table was carefully designed and covered with a velvet cloth as fresh little flowers partitioned the glasses of pure wine and bowls of fresh strawberries. It was a huge rectangular room, one longer wall of which was made of only floor-ceiling windows and a lot of glass doors leading to a huge patio, with wooden garden furniture and huge linen umbrellas, also prepared to welcome guests. White tulle curtains hung with rich ruffles along its entire length of the glass wall. On the left side of the main entrance, there were round tables covered with white tablecloths and decorated with tea roses and candles. The tables were already set, ready for the food to be served.

Luckily enough for me, there was no one to knock it out of the field. The banquet room had this huge teakwood dining table, it was so long it could’ve seated about 40 people and taking into account how stocked the guesthouse had been, it was a good thing it was so long. And above the table, a huge shiny cream-pink and goldish-white chandelier hung on the high ceiling. The table was filled with elegant china and shiny porcelain crockery and two waiters were standing on either side of most of the seats. I walk into the banquet room with Faulk holding my arm, as I lean into him taking in all the people around the huge table in the middle of the room. Long curtains hang everywhere from the high ceilings. Deep purples with gold and teal. It’s absolutely amazing, it almost looks as if the ceiling was sparkling like the stars in the sky past all the rich drapery. The table elaborately set, looking at the cutlery and plate stacks I nearly fell over. I vaguely remember reading an article in an old magazine, saying in a dinner party you always use the utensils from the outside in….or was it from the inside out….I sigh! This is not gonna go well, I fidget.
