I knew I needed to keep him safe without compromising his independence. I cannot let a 5-year-old take a bath by himself. A plan formed in my mind. “I know you’re a big boy,” I acknowledged. “It’s just that I had this great idea for a bath time game. But if you’d rather not...” Liam’s expression shifted from defiance to curiosity, and he asked, “Bath time game? What’s that?” Suppressing a smile, I checked the water temperature and responded, “Would you like to find out?” Liam nodded eagerly. “Well, you see, a treasure is hidden in the bubbles of your bathwater, and we’ll need to search for it together.”

I am seriously regretting this game I started. There is nothing I can do tonight, so I slowly rise from the hard floor and dust myself off. I eat a light dinner and make a cup of hot tea. Next, I head upstairs to take a long bath. I begin filling the clawtooth tub with warm water and add in some of my favorite rose bath oils before lighting candles around the room. This is my sanctuary and exactly what I need right now. I lean my head back and breathe in the rose and amber from the candles as Frank Sinatra’s smooth melodic voice fills the room. Matt shook his shoulder, not really being gentle. Sebastian grunted annoyed and pulled away. "Leave me be Matt, I am not talking to you. If you happen to have forgotten, I am angry with you". "Well then we are doing this the hard way Sebastian". Matt grabbed him and dragged him into the bathroom, pushing him into the shower and turning on the cold water. Sebastian spluttered and fought to get up, waving his arms pathetically. "What the hell Matt ? Why am I here by the way ?"

I shouted, my voice echoing brightly off the tiles. I giggled, splashing the water with my feet. I grabbed the loofah and softly scrubbed my body to my taste, with my own pressure, humming a tune I couldn’t name. This was more than a bath; it was a baptism, a ritual cleansing. It was, I thought, a dream come true—the simple, profound luxury of being clean, safe, and alone.

With a deep breath, I push off the door and head straight for the bathroom, craving the comfort of a warm bath. I turn the silver taps and watch the water rush into the tub. Soon steam starts curling into the air. The sound of the running water is soothing, almost meditative. As the water fills the tub, I peel off my sweat-soaked training clothes and toss them into the laundry hamper. Nyx wasn’t exaggerating, today was brutal. Every movement reminds me of the relentless sparring, the tension in each strike. I can only hope the hot bath brings some relief to my aching muscles.

She placed her hand on his chest and smiled. “Yes. Of course. Go take your bath, sweetheart.” He kissed her forehead. She went to the bathroom and locked the door. After pouring some lavender scented bubbles under the stream of hot water, she climbed in and let out a sigh of relief as she took in the silence around her. Closing her eyes, she took herself to a place filled with peace and released all the tension in her body. She was fully relaxed until she heard him walk into the bedroom with a screaming baby and jiggled the doorknob to the bathroom.

Daphne opened the door a second later, after I told her to come in. “Ah, you’re ready!” She said happily. “Come.” She opened the door wide for me and I stepped into the bathing room, momentarily stunned at the beauty of it. The room was completely made of marble from floor to ceiling. There weren’t any windows but I could see a few ventilators at the top of the room to let air pass. The bath was more like a giant swimming pool with crystal blue waters and several stairs that led to the bath. There were several other women in the bath already, all in white linen gowns like mine, playing and swimming in the water.

Running his fingers through his wet hair, Weylin put his hand on the rim of the bathtub. Leaning on the edge of the tub, he took a deep breath, inhaling the relaxing lavender fragrance which was filled in the bathroom. The twilight bath bomb in the lukewarm made the bath even more pleasant.

I just love it when I have a warm bubble bath with just me and my music. Once I entered the bathroom, I took off my towel and then collided my body in the warm water. I put some shampoo on my hair and scrubbed it for a while, once I was done, I rinsed my hand and then grabbed my phone which I kept on the side of the jacuzzi. I have this game that always calms me down when I get moody or upset. It’s called 'get your special day started' I know it’s a long name for a game but who cares as far as it’s a great game, I’m okay with it.

~DAISY~ Mom left me alone to do whatever I needed. As the warm water poured on me. I felt alive; all my worries disappeared at that moment. I almost used an hour in the bathroom, and in order not to get the whole family worried, I stepped out of the bathroom with my black long hair which was obviously wet from the bath. I sighed and looked at myself through the mirror. My eyes were bulgy and looks pale. It was like I was denied the right to sleep for years.
