Once, the darkness teased him while they were strolling in Taguig, told him that he had a ‘type’, making it seem like all the men he chose – and even the women he looked at – looks exactly like ‘him’. The same fluffy blackish-brown hair, the same soft pleading eyes, and the same rounded cheeks. That was awfully unfair. That wasn’t the darkness’ fault. The darkness only looked the way it did because he had given it that shape. He chose what he wanted to see, and he wanted to always see a shape of ‘him’. ‘Do you remember,’ he asked, ‘when only you were just darkness and shadows?’ ‘Jett,’ he chuckled as he replied in a deep voice, ‘I am the night. When the shirtless man grew closer, Gregg could see two large lightning bolt tattoos on each side of the man’s six-pack abdomen. Gregg could now see the dark figure. It was a man with white makeup on his face, along with what appeared to be black eyeshadow. The man had his pitch-black long hair tied up into a ponytail, and it looked like he had blood painted across his broad shoulders. The white makeup made the man look like Jared Leto’s Joker from the Snyder Cut Justice League. Anindira shuddered at the sight of the three of them. Halvir was also *Sapphire ranked, but the Bat in front of Anindira was now much more stable. The dashboard opened, revealing bundles of banknotes. She stopped and looked at him incredulously. “Fuck! What are you? Some sort of Mafia ?” “That's irrelevant,” he took out a fat bundle of cash.” This is twice the cost of that piece of junk which you were driving. Take it.” He waved the bundle towards her. Lisa wasn't sure if she should take him seriously or not. “Who are you? Superman?” He chuckled, and one corner of his mouth turned up in that amused smile he'd been wearing off and on all night. “I prefer Batman. I don't think I can pull off that atrocious red and blue leotard.”

My veins pulsated with a mixture of fear and anger, and my chest felt as if it would burst under the weight of my emotions. A sob caught in my throat, and I choked on it as his hands cupped my face, trapping me in his control. His touch, always suffocating and invasive, now felt strangely gentle. “Sirena,” he called out softly. It felt abnormal hearing him call my name but at most, I was more terrified than ever. He just chuckled and pressed his lips lightly against mine. When he pulled away, he stared at me softly with those captivating blue eyes. "I think that you're the best Batman there has ever been," he whispered. "But I have one question."

They rippled slightly as the tattoo gun continued it's work. Deft gloved hands drew and colored the skin. A quick swipe removed excess ink. Heavily tattooed arms moved with each stroke, the artwork colorful and bright with splotches of pinks, blues, purples, and greens. She marveled at those arms, strong, tight, and remarkably hairless. The artist wore a black sleeveless shirt, cut to resemble a tank top with wide cut underarms. A faded yellow batman logo was printed on the front. The artist wore tight blue jeans, revealing wide hips and a round ass. Grey boxes poked out of the back as she hunched over her work.

He explained, a smirk slowly making its way to his face. "Wow, I think I have my own personal superhero, now I'm just wondering if you're the Flash or Batman?" She proudly said. Hearing that, he raised his eyebrows in confusion, "The flash I understand because I'm fast, but Batman, I don't." Scar giggled at his statement, "Alright, let me make it clear, Batman a.k.a Bruce Wayne is rich, like you." It took him a second before realizing what she said, "Oh, I get it now."
