The Mafia King's Temporary Wife
I warn the man, “and you’ll lose your hands.”
The man jumps and almost trips over his feet.
“Christ, Adrian! What’s wrong with you?” Nila looks at me, surprised, then turns to the sales attendant. “He doesn’t mean that.”
“I do. Turn around.” I reach for the necklace from him.
After putting it on, I admire how it shows off her slim neck. The bracelet is way too big; she could probably fit both of her wrists through it.
“We need this resized and delivered tomorrow.” I hand the bracelet back to the clerk, who nods quickly. Then I turn to Nila. “Do you want to keep the necklace on, or should they just send it with the bracelet and the earrings?”
