“Sure.” I like this side of Conan, yes, we have just met but if he is like this to everyone close to him then he is one hell of a friend. The Becketts seem like a warm family, I mean with all the scandals about Clayton Beckett and his wife’s wedding that most assume is a scam, the two seem to be madly in love with each other, and I think that is all that matters. Zoey was a fun person to take care of, not that I had much time taking care of her as her great grandmother always takes her, but she was a sweet child.

Other than the beard, which was well-kept and neat, the man was a stereotype down to the grunts and groans and shoulders as wide as the Himalayan Mountains. The days began to repeat themselves, but Elena didn’t find herself bored.

The survivors, in turn, shared their own tales of loss and resilience, of loved ones taken by the relentless threat that had overrun their city. Among the group was Alex, a former nurse who had treated the wounded during the darkest days of Omaha's downfall. Sarah, a resourceful mechanic who could fashion makeshift weapons from spare parts, became a valuable asset to their newfound family. And then there was Jacob, a young man with an unyielding spirit and a determination to protect his sister, Lily, who had been orphaned by the chaos. Through laughter and tears, bonds formed, and trust grew. Beverly was no longer a mysterious savior; she was their mentor, their friend, and a beacon of hope

Jo had never asked exactly what happened, but looking at Shayna now, sitting there with her arms folded in a hostile fashion, a lost look on her mother’s face, she thought maybe she should ask a few questions, just to know if Shayna might have a beef with someone on the team. The others, she tried to keep up with. Hattie Foils, a tech chick her dad seemed to know. A Healer named Martin Green he also seemed to have a history with. Two younger Canadians--Leo and Fiona Acres. A really muscular dude named Alvin Little--a name that did not fit him in the least, in Jo’s opinion--and two gorgeous girl Guardians named Leslie Donavon and Denise Hensley that seemed to be looking at her dad in ways tha

“This is my brother Jace, and my sisters, Macy and Waverly. This is Halona. She saved us from a fire and w live with her and Mr. Grimm in a house with a bowling alley and bumper cars!” “Wow. That sounds awesome.” Baylor tells the child. “Want to meet my friends?” Jude's eyes grow to the size of saucers and he nods eagerly. The man points behind him to a tall guy with black hair and a scarred face. “That's Hurtley.”

A twelve-year-old boy greeted me. "Hello, Artin!!" I smiled at him, which he didn’t return. Grumpy, just like his real father. Very soon, he wouldn’t look like a child anymore. One by one, I met everyone I knew while my eyes were searching for Moana. I didn’t teleport myself in front of her, knowing that she wasn’t alone. Grabbing Beasty's arms, I pulled him aside before speaking, "Do you think that she won’t choose Nathan for sure?"

SAGE MONTERO. “I d-didn’t know you’d be back here”, Bea starts warily, “I mean with…everything that happened to Sax I thought you’d stay home. I thought I’d never see you again around here. Sage?” I like Bea, she’s one of the nicest roommates I’ve had since I joined NVU. Add the fact that most cheerleaders adopt rudeness like their armor against the world and I’d wager I got the better deal having Bea as a friend.

Natalia "Out tonight?" Gail, my ride-or-die roommate, purred from the bathroom door of our dorm, giving me those puppy dog eyes she knew I couldn't resist. But resist I must. I was booked tonight, a date of the blind variety, with some faceless guy I'd met online. "Remember? Online guy. Serial killer enthusiast?" I reminded her. Gail’s dark hair was tied up in a bun, ready to hit the town or any frat party on the menu. She pouted, making her green eyes look all sad and shit.

When the smoke cleared, they realized that the person who had smashed into the carriage was Beanie, the manager of the Nacht family. “Aunt Beanie!” Nas and Nivia yelled and ran over to support Beanie. The two were shocked. Aunt Beanie was the strongest person sent by the Nacht family this time. If even Aunt Beanie was injured, who else would be the enemy’s opponent? Could they still escape? “Aunt Beanie, are you okay?” Nivia asked worriedly. “Aunt Beanie, how are you doing?” Nas asked as well. “I… Cough cough… I’m fine!” Beanie replied, coughing.

“What is she like?” “My sister?” I nodded at him in anticipation. “A bit strict, she is more stoic like our father; she can be scary at times.” “Oh…. Is she like you then?” “Like me?” “Yes, you are always serious,” I declared. One thing about the Becketts, they had two personalities, either too stoic, e.g., Brian, his father, his cousin Wayne and now Zoey, or they were very chatty, e.g., Kai, Adriene, Brian’s aunt Cyan.
