And while I saw versions of the fabled Werewolf capital in movies as a kid, it isn’t the same as experiencing it in real life. Crescent City is a city, yes, but Moon River is a metropolis. Almost everyone here is a werewolf and the city is so big that it has not just one but five major packs: Bloodbane, Steel Fang, Crystal Claw, Goddess Valley, and, of course, Moon River. "No more snacking," Leo said. His voice rang like a struck gong. He twisted. He used the Beast’s own momentum. He flipped the massive creature over his shoulder. CRASH. The Beast hit the pavement hard enough to crack the foundation of the city. Leo jumped on top of it.

His speech and articulation had been very advanced for a four-year-old, but after pouting and frowning, he finally looked his age. “But running away won’t solve the problem. She’ll still tattle to your mom,” Ed said. He didn’t know who Rosemore was, but he followed the conversation. AJ smacked his forehead. “You’re right!” Reluctantly, he grabbed his bag. “What’s your name, mister?” AJ asked. Curious before they parted. “Just call me Beast.” Ed pointed to the scar on his face. AJ laughed. “You’re not as bad as the beast,” he said.

It would do no good to emphasize just how weak I truly was compared to them. It felt like hours later when howling startled me. The loud echoing noise came from all around me, and I felt the giant's arm tighten in response to my movement. The city was magnificent with large modern buildings that were decorated with all colors of plants and vines.

In the blink of an eye, it was like a flood of steel, rumbling, shaking the entire Ninth Heaven. "Get out and die!" An astonishing vibration and a terrifying voice instantly caused the demonic beast city to tremble. The city walls were shaking and cracking. The burning flames on the pile of white bones in the city seemed to be swept away by the strong wind and shook violently. At this moment, streams of surprised and doubtful Divine Awareness shot out of the city. A mass of dark clouds quickly gathered above the Demonic Beast City, enveloping the sky and the sun. Woo. A series of ghastly and miserable howls rang out in the city.
