Glass shatters all around me as I fall to the backyard, I raced blindly into the woods, the scent of lingering morning dew on the leaves, the crunch of branches under my feet, the insects swarming deep undercover bush and bark the critters scampering through trees and bushes to get out of the way of the predator they sense coming into their worlds.
