Fated in the Dark
The triad was forming, whether the Council wanted it or not, but they didn’t have time to revel in it.
A horn cut through the night, low and deep. From the shadows of the ridge, the Council's armored enforcers descended, and at their head was Drayce Malor, cold-eyed and calculating. Behind her, more of the beasts they’d controlled poured forward, hundreds of them, filling the night with snapping jaws and thunderous paws. Every victory they thought they had won againt the creatures had been a lie. There were more than they had imagined.
