He had demonstrated that perfectly well when he had put his fucking hands on her shoulders and basically shamed on her for expressing her excitement for the trip we were leaving for in about fifteen minutes. I had seen the embarrassment replace the ecstasy in her eyes, though the smile she had used on the outside to try to conceal what she had actually felt on the inside.

She suddenly pulled a fruit knife from her bag and rushed toward me, screaming, "It's you! You're the reason Mom and I were driven out of the Sterling family!" "Even if I die, I won't let you go!" I froze in fear. At the last second, a figure stepped in front of me. It was Vivian. She gripped Nina's hand tightly, blood spilling from her mouth as she struggled to speak. "No… I can't… I can't let my daughter… become a murderer…" The knife had struck her. Soon, she went still. Nina collapsed completely. She let go, her eyes empty. Then she turned, climbed over the balcony, and jumped.

The drive home seemed like it took forever- even though it was only about 20 miles. I was hoping I didn’t crush Will’s self confidence too easily. I felt awful that he had went through such a terrible accident that would leave him without an arm, and just when hope was attainable for him to be able to fit in, he was deemed unacceptable by society. People were always so judgmental and and broke my heart… especially since he seemed like such a nice guy.
