What We Pretended To Be

What We Pretended To Be

Oh. I looked back at the woman. She was beautiful, but not in the obvious way, not the kind of beauty that arrived first and flattened everything else behind it. It was something more deliberate than that, more controlled. Her hair was a pale expensive blonde, too light to be natural, too well maintained to be accidental, bleached and polished within an inch of its life. It should have looked harsh. It didn’t. It suited her in the same calculated way everything else about her seemed to. She wore elegance like instinct — nothing loud, nothing careless, every movement measured, every gesture economical. She held herself like someone who had spent years learning exactly how much of herself to r

I Built His Empire & Destroyed it Later: Rebirth of "V" Vane

I Built His Empire & Destroyed it Later: Rebirth of "V" Vane

Standing right at the entrance of the elite boutique was a woman. She was jaw droppingly beautiful, her slender, perfect figure wrapped in a tailored, midnight blue silk trench coat that exuded an untouchable aura of immense wealth and commanding power. Her skin was completely radiant, flawless, and luminous under the sun, completely devoid of any trace of the chemical illness that had plagued her for a year. Her long dark hair was styled with absolute perfection, cascading over her straight, majestic shoulders as she moved with the fierce, unyielding grace of a true queen.

The Wife He Couldn't Erase

The Wife He Couldn't Erase

“We will focus on necklaces and accessories. But it will be different from what the public expects. Too often, beauty and authenticity are priced out of reach,” “I want to create something different. Something that delivers quality without making people feel left out,” I explained. “I want every woman, every person, to be able to wear something that feels real, that feels like them, without having to choose between dignity and cost. No one should feel invisible because they cannot afford to shine.” I let my voice soften at the end. Not for pity. For honesty. Because I knew what it felt like to stand in a room and believe you did not belong. Because I had been that woman once, and I would not

The Champion She Could Never Become

The Champion She Could Never Become

" In my previous life, Emily chose the Beauty System. She believed beauty was the fastest way into America's elite social circles. But once beauty actually opened those doors and she entered a world of billionaires, celebrities, and old-money heirs, she discovered something she'd never expected. Beauty wasn't rare. The wealthy young men around her treated her like a beautiful accessory for showing off for a while, not a person they truly loved. They were obsessed with her appearance. But only for a season. When the Beauty System determined she had failed to earn anyone's genuine love, it reclaimed every gift it had ever given her. She lost her extraordinary beauty overnight. Her wealthy bene

Beauty & the Alpha

Beauty & the Alpha

I wondered if those bruises were caused by my hands. She must have noticed what I was thinking, and rubbed her arms with her battered hands, shivering as she did. “The witch - Elena - did this.” Even with her bruises and the dry blood staining her lip, Valeire was still as beautiful as the last time I saw her. Whatever drew me to her, wasn’t her outward beauty, but the immense beauty she possessed inside of her. With her eyes cast down, she sat on the floor, groaning as she folded her legs. I did the same, outside the room, looking inside. There were two empty trays close to where she was sleeping, and I figured that at least she wasn’t starving.

Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Theda asked. Debra turned to Robert. "Change the destination. We're going to Victoria's Beauty." "Victoria's Beauty?" Theda asked. "It's a beauty company owned by the Lowe Group. It's not bad, though their techniques are average and the prices are ridiculously high. It's quite popular among wealthy ladies. I went there once, but it wasn't their most popular service. Let's check it out and bill it to Drake. I've spent a lot of money helping him reform the company. A few thousand bucks shouldn't be a problem for him," Debra explained.

I really like this book but why is it being dragged so much? Debra keeps getting herself in weird situations like the Island kidnapping and then her engagement kidnapping. I get the authors are paid by pages but if it’s too dragged then the readers eventually lose interest and move to finished books

Forced Beautification

Forced Beautification

Just then, a video started playing on the screen. Barbara's voice sounded from the speakers. "I don't like how Summer looks. She doesn't deserve to be prettier than me. That's why I lied to her and got her to come to my beauty clinic for a simple whitening procedure. She didn't know that this was a hospital for plastic surgery. She's just weak. Why do you have to close my hospital?" The video kept playing as Barbara's face went white. Barbara's salon had been accused of medical malpractice before.

BILLIONAIRE'S PLUS-SIZE OBSESSION

BILLIONAIRE'S PLUS-SIZE OBSESSION

“He left and slammed the door after him.” I paused. Silence filled the room for a moment. Then I continued, softer this time. “Bullied for being plus-size since childhood… Beauty Hills had to deal with insecurity, trauma, and depression… most especially self-hate…” I exhaled slowly. “Her name… Beauty… was said to be the exact opposite of her appearance…” The words felt heavier the more I read. “After many failed toxic relationships, she moved on and got a job in a fashion company…”

I really enjoy how the story captures the complexity of self-identity and emotional resilience, making it so relatable and inspiring. The characters' struggles feel genuine, and the narrative’s tone is both gentle and engaging.

The Ex-Wife’s Mega Comeback

The Ex-Wife’s Mega Comeback

It was deeper, uglier, rooted in years of quiet resentment that had been building without her even realizing just how massive it had become. All her life, Sienna had questioned it over and over again, replaying the same unfair script in her head like it owed her an explanation. Why did Violet get everything that should have been hers? Why did the world seem to bend for her so easily, as if it recognized her as something rare, something worth protecting? Violet had beauty that didn’t need effort, the kind that turned heads without trying, the kind that made people pause mid-conversation just to look at her a little longer.

Classy Lady J
It’s time for Nathaniel to let go and just be her friend, she’s never going to be more than that. Jonathan needs to take a chill pill because he’s never going to be more to her either than just a friend. Franklin will be her everything and more. We could use another update today if possible. Thanks!

Suggestion/feedback:however,totally understand as author decides on the plot & has their own writing style. In this book, there are several side stories that go on for not only 1chapter but several chapters focus is on the other characters/couple.So it can be $ spent not on the main characters story

When the bully falls in love

When the bully falls in love

She wasn’t beautiful, she was dying, she had sickle cell anemia and her skin wasn’t normal like mine. But the desperate Perez, or FATREZ THE WAY Vince liked naming it never cared, all I saw was a perfect girl, with white eyes and a perfect life. I admired how delicate and weak she looked. It was my definition of feminine, an attribute that the gods had taken away from me long time ago. “What right do you have to show them pity, they have never cared about you, they have never cared whether you live or die, they deserve that at least at payment from the universe,’’ my subconscious whispered to me harshly.
