I hate how idle she is, but I have to admit that she does seem pretty cute whenever she finds interest in the littlest of things. A knock comes from the door, and I do not know whether to be happy or relieved. I go to answer it, and a young woman smiles warmly at me. She must be the new maid Caelen has. I give way for her to enter the house. Meredith looks between us, and I tell her, “This is your new maid.” I look at the new girl and shoot her the most venomous glare I could muster. She takes a step back. “I trust that you are aware of everything that you should and shouldn’t do,” I say, and she nods.

Emily said jokingly. “No girly,I have a job offer for you” Sandra replied at the other end. Sandra proceeded to tell Emily her boss was looking for a maid,and she fits the criteria he gave her. At first Emily thought she didn’t hear her clearly,but Sandra repeated it. “ A maid?”, that was all Emily could say,She was angry,is this the good news she said she has for her?She thought “Yes a maid,but your job wouldn’t take much and you’ll get to live in his mansion with him, the pay is 6000$ per month Sandra said over the phone”.

"Becoming a maid gives you an advantage. You’ll be able to explore the castle, learn its structure, and find a way to escape. Don’t you want that?" Her words struck me speechless. She wasn’t wrong—if I became a maid, I could move through the castle unnoticed, learn every passage, and eventually find my way out. I exhaled deeply. I couldn’t escape the kingdom without knowing its every corner. "Fine," I said at last. A victorious smile spread across her lips. "Good. Tomorrow, you begin your job." She turned quickly, almost as though she were afraid of me. Her reaction unsettled me. Something wasn’t right. Before she could leave, I called out, "What happened?"

“All I gotta do is act right and pretend not to be losing my mind.” A sudden itch crawled down her back. “Ugh, I feel so dirty.” Just then, the door creaked open. She spun around and hastily hid the camera. A new maid entered. She was stunning, tall and graceful, with flawless skin and a quiet elegance. She could pass for a princess. “Hello. I’m Naya. I’ve been assigned as your personal maid,” she said with a slight bow. “It’s time for your bath. The king has requested your presence.”

SOPHIA POV. The next morning, I woke up to Roman not in the room anymore but my handmaid standing there. "Good morning, Sophia," she greeted. "Oh you called me by my name," I mumbled. Within a few minutes, my lights came flickering on and at that moment, my phone rang. I rushed over to pick it up and saw it was an unknown number. “Harper Holmes?” a female said on the other end “Yes, it is me,” I replied nervously, wondering who would be calling me and for what purpose. “I am calling to inform you that you have been offered the maid job at Dominic Hall’s place. How soon can you come?” she asked. I was too stunned to speak. I froze on the other end, not sure of what to say. I thought it was all a dream.

She turned, her black orbs glaring daggers at me. "Babe, who is this?". She asked him, her eyes scanning me in disgust. "My housekeeper". Not the truth but a little better off than the truth. "Ohh, a new maid!". I clenched my teeth at her use of the word maid. "Better off than Stella anyway". She added.

“Of course ma’am, call me if you need anything I’ll be right here in a second” The maid excuses herself and Jessica nodded. She closed her eyes letting herself sink in the couch. She had yet to wrap her head around everything and having people at her feet all of a sudden was making her uncomfortable because she wasn’t used to this, she was normal woman who could take care of herself and didn’t have servants growing up
