As she doesn't answer, I quickly make my way into the house and towards the living room to see both Amelia and Isabella passed out, the room a mess with all types of candy and ice-cream melting. The TV playing the credits of some movie. "For fuck sakes" I sigh, pulling on my hair. "Ooh they were watching infinity war" we all turn our heads towards Xavier who was squealing, making him stop. "I don't think now is the time Xavier" Cameron says, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Right.."

I knew what they wanted, and I also knew this would be a challenge. I approached their beds, looking at their little faces with affection. “Okay, kids, it’s time for a bedtime story,” I said, trying to calm them down. “But, there’s one thing. You have to promise to go to bed after the story is over, okay?” Adney immediately raised his hand. “Mom, I promise! We’ll go to bed after the story, right Adolf?” Adolf nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, Mom. We promise!” Ainsley and Allonza also looked at me with sparkling eyes. “We promise too, Mom,” Ainsley said softly, while Allonza just nodded, holding her doll tightly.

Samuel says, grinning at his sister as they excitedly crawl up the bed towards me and flop over on the pillows. Dominic opens the drawer, taking out the iPad and sits down on the edge of the bed. "What do you want to watch?" he asks, scrolling through a list of movies. "The Little Mermaid!" Laila blurts out. "No," Samuel says, squinting his eyes at her. "Harry Potter." I look over to Laila and smile. "Okay," she says. "I can do that." "Harry Potter it is," Dominic grins, shaking his head.

Yawning, I take a drink of water from the night stand, before getting in bed and pulling up the covers. Just as I close my eyes, I hear a familiar scratching noise from the closet. Opening them, I bolt up in bed. Bubba, my fearless monster slayer is laying on the floor comatose, but he hears it too and jumps up. I notice that his ears are perked up and he cocks his head as he tries to hear something over by the closet.

He asked as he rummaged through the many disks placed on the shelve. "Uhmm....anything but horror." I replied softly as I placed another spoon filled with ice cream in my mouth. It's not that I've been watching movies since I was born but I've come across parts of some of the movies my old pack members were watching. I'd enter the living room to get them their food or drinks and my eyes would catch a glimpse of a scene or two. These few times proved to me that I can't handle horror. "Yes! Got it!" Logan exclaimed happily. "We're watching 'Despicable me'. It's awesome." He informed me as he placed the disk inside the DVD player. I've heard about that movie before. It seemed nice but of course

Narrator's Pov The sound of heavy boots echoed through the corridor. One. Two. Three pairs. Then more. “Come on,” Lila whispered, grabbing Damien’s hand. Her pulse trembled against his. “Let’s go here.” They crawled fast, their knees brushing the cold marble floor as they slid back under the bed. The air beneath was damp and suffocating, the dust burning through her nostrils. The moment they ducked in, the door burst open.

How I hated him! I hurried to my apartment and was there in no time. I could do with a good movie. Out of my collection, I picked up Tut, a miniseries. It had Avan Jogia, that amazingly cute boy that doesn't get the attention he deserves. I didn't want sappy romance movies or horror so I settled for it. I hurriedly picked some cookies from the kitchen because I couldn't wait to start the movie. It was my first time watching it and my friend who suggested it had warned me of some sad parts ahead. I knew it wasn't going to end well for both Tut and I but watched it anyway.

After changing, she headed downstairs to join Leah for breakfast, as she was also hungry. As soon as they reached the dining area, Nicole’s attention was immediately caught by the bright red watermelon Domenic was eating. He had clearly finished breakfast and was now making it his dessert, adding whipped cream to it. Her mouth watered, and she quickly walked over to him. “Oh?” Domenic asked gruffly. “Where’s the watermelon?” Nicole asked quickly. Domenic furrowed his brow and pointed to a large, shattered bowl that only contained watermelon juice.

I was drained and desired a decent night's sleep. “Yeah. She said we needed to be good kids, and not disturb you any further, which was why we were obedient. Did we do well, mum?” River asked, grinning. “We were the best, right?” “Yeah. My best.” I patted his head, sitting next to him. “So, which bedtime story do you want? The princess and the pea? Or your favourite Toy Story?” They stayed silent for a long time, sharing glances before River murmured, “Just go to bed, Mum. You don't have to read any stories for us. We will sleep just fine without it.”

"Oh no, no, no. Because, ladies and gentlemen, that was not her only legendary moment. Let us now recall. the banana peel incident." Sabrina leapt out of her seat. "NOPE! That's it! Storytime is officially over. Saben, bedtime." Saben pouted. "Aww, but—" "No buts, young man," Saben said scooping him up into his arms. "Mommy's dignity is at stake." Benedict still chuckling kissed her on the forehead. "I will put him to bed tonight." Saben beamed. "Yay! Daddy reads the best bedtime stories."
