“You two should stop bickering. Now, come on, Buddy, let her in.” I waved him aside as I managed to stifle my laughter.
Buddy muttered something under his breath, stepping back to let Bree through. She pushed her way in with a triumphant glare at him, then turned back to me, her expression softening.
“I’m sorry for waking you up this way,” Bree said, her tone contrite as she handed over the script.
“It’s fine,” I assured her, taking the papers. “Please, have a seat.”
