Before Your Memory Fades Novels & Stories

The more I try to remember, the more I forget,and the aches in my head got even worse every time I try. I could overhear Aiden telling the doctor, I can't remember anything, I wasn't much interested in their conversation, it was obvious I lost my memory,I don't even know who I am. "What is his name Aiden?" I asked. "He doesn't have a name yet,we wanted you to give him one" he said, walking towards me as the doctor and nurse took their leave. "He is so handsome," I said. "What about me mama?" Raymond asked. "Oh Ray,you are also handsome" I chuckled.

"Remain sure that every wound that is there, will dry by itself. But, even though time has passed, human memories will never fade. Even with all my might try to forget those memories..." "Memories will continue to rush over to me!"

Attention sat deep, calm, unbroken. Out came the words, spilling ahead as I kept going. Flashes come first. A crash shows up early, like a film playing ahead of time. Months prior, whispers of betrayal hum through empty hallways. The rival’s strategy? Already lived it, somehow. Time folds when memory runs backward. In another version of events.” My throat tightened. “I remember my own decline. The fatigue. The isolation. The way I grew weaker every day until… until I didn’t wake up one morning.”

I whispered, fear tightening my throat. "Memory loss, especially due to trauma, is unpredictable. Some memories may come back in flashes, triggered by a smell, a sound, or a place. Others may never return. The goal isn't necessarily to force the memories back but to heal and find peace, whether or not those memories resurface." I nodded slowly, trying to absorb her words. "So, what do we do now? How do we start?"

Lossing their memory is like loosing all the files in a memory card. Actually, what happens during memory loss is that all the memories of the person gets wiped out from the brain. The brain becomes totally blank and new." The old sage said.

“Is there any way I can help her with that?” “Right now, the best thing you can do is surround her with things she is familiar with. It might help her to figure out what she is forgetting.” The man nodded and smiled sadly. “Thanks, doctor. I will do that.” “But how long will that take? I mean, how long will I be able to regain all my memory?" I asked the question that was bugging me the most. “It is hard to say, but it will be easy to regain your memory by surrounding yourself with things you are familiar with. Also, you can book a training session at the hospital. We had a center that focused on training your mind. It can be helpful for your mental health.”

“Then why the hell haven’t I gotten my memory back? Living like this... it’s not exactly ideal.” Dr. Moretti exhaled softly, giving me that sympathetic nod doctors must learn in med school. “Memory loss, especially due to prolonged medical conditions, doesn’t always have a predictable timeline. Your brain is showing excellent signs of recovery, and I have every reason to believe your memories will return.” He leaned forward slightly. “But you need to give it time. Forcing it could do more harm than good.”
