I had my opportunity. “Remember” I said softly to myself my voice drowned out by the showers hiss. “Please remember.” I attempted to return to the start to the final moment of clarity before the blank slate. My last memory was of a peaceful atmosphere the promise of a peaceful evening and the late afternoon sun slanting through the windows. It was a weak anchor a memory that vanished the instant I made an effort to cling to it.
