Everyone sends a precious gift to this young celebrant. She wonders if that memory belongs to her. She stood up and went to the restroom. She walked past by a half mirror size. She walked back to glance again to see a different person was standing in front of the mirror. The girl standing in front of the mirror is different from Leticia. This Julia has a small face, a V-shaped jaw, pale skin, straight eyebrows, and flawless skin. Her eyes have a double eyelid paired with protruding eyes. Her lips resemble pale downward-turned lips.

Liya called out, and she heard someone snicker. “Took you long enough to figure it out.” He called out, and Liya felt a shiver run through her spine. Liya didn’t know what she was supposed to do at that point as Damian slowly started to walk towards her. There was something in his hands. Something that she recognized all too well. It was a mirror. Damian finally stopped in front of her, and raised it up to her face. The wig was off her head, and the makeup was washed off her face. Damn it. Done. She was done for.

The mirrors were whispering truths no one should know. Lila and Cade walked through the courtyard, stepping over broken glass glittering in the morning sun. A girl sat in the grass, rocking back and forth, muttering to herself. Cade slowed down. “She’s from the art wing.” Lila approached gently. “Hey, are you okay?” The girl looked up—and Lila recoiled. Bella forced herself to exhale, but it came out shakier than she intended.
