While we are eating in the common room I get texts from my mom and a few other family members wishing me a happy birthday. After today's eventful day, I glance at my wristwatch. 9:30 pm. I'm thinking of going to the library for quick light reading. The rest of my friends have gone to bed. Everyone except Penelope, she said she had to pay back the guard for letting us go out today. "Pay", right, typical. She's just a little too boy crazy. Dean and she must be one and the same. They both act a little too reckless for my taste around boys. I guess not having the experience myself, just platonic thoughts here and there, doesn't help me understand their lustful haze.

My mom just woke me up. I slept for most of the day. Now there are only a couple of hours before the party gets started. I check my phone. I’m surprised that the guys have not tried to call me today. It’s Ben’s birthday. We usually hang out on each other’s birthday. I thought we would have done lunch together or something. Maybe I should call him and see what he is doing. “Hi, Ben, happy birthday. Tell Rose I said happy birthday as well.” I say when he answers the phone.

My mom and dad were fascinated with my gift for healing, but it wasn't extravagant; like the doctors from our tribe, I could heal simple wounds or, like mine—Bruises. I took a glance at the wall clock near my door, ten o'clock. I overslept; I must have been tired. I looked outside to check Duke's car; there were no traces of him, which made me feel disappointed, this wasn't the first time that this had happened, but the feeling and thought of him receiving pleasure from a different woman apart from me made me feel useless.

Until one day, where things went haywire. The 17th of August was Adeena’s birthday. It was the day where she thought that she could finally spend some quality time with the people responsible for bringing her down to this earth. “Hey Dad, good morning. I know you must have forgotten, but today is my birthday. I can’t wait for you to come back home today dad. I miss you so much.” Adeena said to her dad, over the phone on a voicemail. “Hey mum, how are you? Uhmm…I’m sure that you must remember that today is my birthday mum. I’d be waiting for you at the mansion mummy. I love you. Bye.” Adeena said over voicemail.

"I will definitely tell you, but not now. Look at our current performance; it's very chaotic. How about you give me a few minutes to get dressed properly? Because I wanted to give you something—a surprise that I hope you like." Rain pursed her lips. "Not after so many things happened to us. I hate surprises." Ben clucked in mock annoyance and put his hands on his hips. "Okay, since you don't like surprises, I'll give you a hint to calm you down. I want to celebrate your birthday!" he grinned. "Good grief!" surprised Rain. "I almost forgot about it—my birthday. But, Ben, my birthday is still a day away." "It doesn't matter, right, if we celebrate it a day early? I don't want to waste my time

She reminded us. "It's my birthday?" Kayden was confused, he brought out his phone and checked the calendar. "Oh! yes, it is" he scratched the back of his neck. Kayden rarely celebrates his birthday, ever since he became an orphan he didn't care about birthdays just like me, I hated my birthday. Bianca and I eyes met and we burst out in laughter. We didn't speak with our mouths but our eyes did the talking. We had been suspecting that Melinda liked Kayden and this just proved everything.

Benny popped up from behind the rock like a jack jumping out of its box. "Ready?" he asked. Benjamin was a sixteen-year-old that had saved mine and our lives several times. He was extremely brave and loyal to a fault… and on the other hand he was also head strong and fool hardy. I was always worrying about him jumping headfirst into danger.

Yeah we have Mrs Ney Lucinda says smiling at her,Ooh so your name is Lucinda huh I thought you said you guys already talked how come you don't know her name Mrs Ney asks Dray well let's just say I forgot to ask her name . Dray is done with his workout and he leaves Mrs Ney outside goes into the yard with his bottle of water holding his T-shirt.Dray please out some water on the stove ,alright mum.Lucinda is also done taking care of the flowers Mrs Ney I am going to leave you out here enjoy your day ma'am thank you Lucinda you did well with the flowers she says smiling.Thank you ma'am as she closes the gate .Soon as she locks the gate she starts smiling seems like she was starting to like Dray

Suddenly, a message popped up. Benjamin: [It's my birthday the day after tomorrow. Can you come?] Charlotte was somewhat surprised. After considering, she realized she would be free on that day. Although she had only met Benjamin briefly, she felt acquainted with him for some reason. She replied thoughtfully. Charlotte: [Of course, I'd be honored to come.]

Directly next to the G Wagon was a rusty red, dilapidated, slammed, 2022 Honda Civic. Standing in front of both vehicles was Ben, a middle aged man whose cologne severely overpowered the stench of the garbage nearby. He was wearing an Adidas track suit, a well worn pair of Gucci loafers, entirely too much gold spanning from his fingers to his neck, and a pair of Versace sunglasses. He had pepper grey hair that seemed as though it were permed and then slicked back. “Come on, come on. Time is money now, I got the keys.” Ben exclaimed as he grabbed Lucas by the arm and wrapped his other arm around him for a quick greeting.
