During the holidays, I'll send you photos of me and Grace together. Just wait for it." Upon hearing this, Benjamin's expression finally changed. He tried to get up. "Xander…" The next second, he was kicked into a corner, the sound of a violent collision echoing.

“It is all right Alpha Wyatt. Ben is the one that needs to talk to you. He has said that it is important.” I quietly follow Wyatt as he heads into the living room. A smile instantly appears on my face when my eyes see Ben sitting on the couch in a bathrobe. I quickly wave and to him. “Hi, Ben. Congrats on finding your mate.” My eyes are drawn to Ben’s mark on his neck. It is so different than anything that I’ve ever seen before. Often times, the marks have two wolves, which his does, but in addition to the two wolves, it has a heart with two letters, F and B. It is so beautiful.

Once he started the car and we drove a few kilometers, Benjamin looked at me through the mirror and said informally, "Xander?" Benjamin and I had been childhood friends but after I was crowned as Alpha and he became my Beta, he had maintained a good professional relationship with me. But there were times when Benjamin would address me informally and chat with me just like a friend. That informal tone would usually come when Benjamin was frank and wanted to convince me. I nodded and asked, "What?" He heaved a sigh and said, "Xander, you should quit the thought of parting ways from Zara after all I can clearly see that you have a crush on Zara."

Their eyes locked on him, seething with murderous intent. Chris smirked. "You think you can beat Atlas?" he mocked, but the malice in his eyes was unmistakable. And then the boy began to grow, muscles rippling as he transformed into a feral, towering man. Dreadlocks hung around his broad shoulders, his eyes burned a piercing white, and a long, wild beard framed his snarling face. He exuded raw, overwhelming menace.

Ben said with a small smirk. Damn that smug bastard. I decided to play it cool instead. "No matter. She will trust me. And she will help us." Instead of smirking this time Ben just laughed. "Xander...just two months ago you were oh so willing to use any means necessary to bring her into our employ and use her gifts for your own selfish purposes no matter what it took even if that meant her hating you but now you want her to trust you? Oh this is rich." He was right. And i was getting particularly annoyed with the smug looks he sent my way and the ever knowing grin on his swollen lip which I had punched. Seeing his busted lip made a smirk a little. At least the smug bastard had a mark from me

He sighs, "I just don't want you to get hurt." "I know that." She smirked, "Now don't get all sappy on me, it's gross." Pollux dramatically puts a hand on his chest and gasps, "Wow, I am so sorry for expressing my genuine concern towards you." She snickered, "S'alright, I forgive you. Seriously though, thanks bro." "Anytime." He shoots finger guns at her before heading upstairs to his room. Aster carefully prepares her mother's food and washes the dishes before heading to her room as well. She begins to rethink her feelings about being in a relationship with Xavier.

Brixlee felt stupid, that she had been blinded by his charade for so long. Tears welled up in her eyes as she took a step back, her voice quivering with a mix of fear and disbelief. "How could you? How could any of this be true, Xavier?" “Stop making me look like a villain, Brixlee” He began with a smirk, resting on the drawer by the bed. “We all have our dirty laundries. But trust me, you are far more perfect than Emily and I truly love you. Emily deserved to die and you deserve to be with me. I am the only one who can give you all the happiness you deserve”

Phoenix gasps popping her head out from behind Ares and running straight into my legs. “Phoenix is right, you’re very pretty… and damn you’re not wrong your mates are fucking hot,” Ares winks at me, making me giggle when I hear a low growl deep in Benjamin’s throat. “Keep your eyes to yourself,” Benjamin scolds, making all of us laugh and shake our heads at how adorably possessive he is being. “Pappa,” Phoenix giggles while covering her eyes and shaking her head.
