Beowulf held a lit torch, while Helgar held a large, thick book with brown covers. Suddenly Helgar stopped. She looked around the clearing, then straight inside the cave. "Someone's here," she whispered to Beowulf. Beowulf instantly put out the flames of the torch. Then he moved towards the entrance of the cave, his steps silent, his movement stealthy.

Beowulf’s POV I listened in to the whole conversation from outside the door. My rage just flowed as John continued to sprout more insults at me, causing me to clench my fists to the point that my nails dug into my skin. ‘Looks like Kora was right to make me leave the room. I want to punch that bastard’s face in,’ I thought, smelling the blood leaving the palm of my hand. ‘Easy, Beowulf. Let her do her job,’ Beethoven told me.
