“Did you feel that?” Before Lyra could answer, the wall behind them groaned — and shattered. A monstrous wolf exploded through the stone. But it wasn't a regular wolf. It was a thing. Twice the size of any werewolf. Eyes glowing red. Mouth dripping black ichor. Chains dragged behind it, melted into its flesh. Nyra screamed. Riven sprang up, blades drawn. “*What the hell is that?*” Lyra shouted. “A berserker,” Riven snarled. “Celeste’s pet.”

He winked down at me, “Our kind always did like Kasar.” The God’s aura called to something wild in me. I wanted to run—not to flee from him—but to bask in the beauty of nature and all its creatures. There were hills to roam and mountains to climb, trees to sleep beneath during the peak of the day, and lakes to explore in the cool of night. Kasar, God of Beasts, stared me down past his sharp nose, leaving me to wallow in tense silence before breaking into a grin both beautiful and wild. “Well, if it isn’t the mortal who caused such a fuss in the city. You know, those poachers are actively searching for your head.”

I snorted, "when I am in heaven smiling at you while you are begging on your knees in hell." He chuckles at my words and in the next second, he is holding me by the collar of my clothes. "Oh you think you can go to your heaven?" he menacingly asks. "Yes, because your moon goddess is not even close to anything as my creator" I retorted. "So naïve and so stupid. You think your God will be here to save you" he shouted at me. "He will because my God is a God of so many things that you pitiful creature are not" I spat back holding his gaze.

These people looked like ones that can never love anyone until they die. Derrick's mother even died yet he didn't grief her at all, Alessio had also lost his younger brother in battle once upon a time but there was no tears that came down from his face. Kaios huffed. Kaleb laughed them. "Enough, you two. Look at them, they are all still in shock." Kaleb said. "Oh!" Kaios clears his throat and snapped his fingers. The others snapped back to their senses. "You all good now?" Kaios asked and they nodded. "Good. So, let me introduce myself. I am Kaios. The deity of darkness or death or whatever you want to call it." He spoke. "WOW." The Blood Knights synchronized again. Kaios wink at Kian. The latter just shook his head. Thorin clears his throat catching Kaios' attention. "So, uhm, what brings you here, my lord?"
