Alex’s POV I hate Vegas but somehow I am always in the heart of the city for one business meeting or the other. The thing about Vegas is, it always smells like desperation. Cheap perfume, stale whiskey, and the electric hum of bad decisions waiting to happen. I should be used to it by now, from the relentless noise, the synthetic glitz, the way time folds in on itself when you’re drowning in too many flashing lights down to the hollow promises. But here I am again, standing in a room full of overeager tech bros and recycled sales pitches, nursing a drink I don’t want and counting the hours until I can get the hell out of here. Vegas is known as an internationally renowned major resort city, known primarily for gambling, shopping, fine dining, entertainment and nightlife. Also known as the city which never sleeps. Chapter One The city lit up; it didn't sleep. Silver lights rippled across the desert night as Las Vegas spread out like a sparkling creation from the top level of the Aurelia Hotel. Inside the ballroom, the most wild souls in the world came together to play jazz, champagne poured like gold, and laughs erupted like flames.

"Alright, then. Let's go to the nightclub's grand opening," Lara closed her notebook. "I will swing by home and change before." Why would anyone be in Las Vegas if not to indulge in the best the sin city had to offer? What the books recounted, what the movies showed, what people saw... none of it represented Vegas as well as the Casinos, the nightclubs, and the dirty money.
